In an effort to pay for Christmas, I have a quick Black Templar commission to work up alongside the Death Company I'm doing as part of the larger BA army... First WIP, it's a pretty quick run to completion, these are tabletop standard, so I'm not messing about with them too much. Some chipping still to add (but that's best done as a batch with the others), and some tweaks on the crux (probably just some washwork). Tomorrow I'll see how this black recipe works on the DC, maybe crank out another of these chaps. This BT squad also has Claudio from Space Hulk to be converted into a BT. Should be pretty easy, but I'm waiting on the mini from the client.

Big splodgy highlight of VMC black grey
Line highlight of GW codex grey
Blend in that highlight with mix of black grey and codex grey
blend in black grey with black-grey / VMC flat black mix
Glaze it all back with VMC flat black, retouch edges with some mix of grey if needed.

A wet palette or some sort of glaze medium will be very helpful, as it's a wet blend technique.

Finished this squad off today. I'm still waiting on a Space Hulk Claudio model from the client to add to the unit.
