I have nothing to do not even paint my models since I have to wait for them to arrive before I can and i have well and truely overplayed/overwatched the music/films i currently have. so can anyone recommend anything?

I like Jazz when I paint - Usually be-bop/modal Jazz. I would recommend Kind of Blue (essential listening, this), Milestones and Sorceror by Miles Davis, and perhaps a bit of Blue Train by John Coltrane. Alternatively, a bit of Tinariwen usually goes down well. They're like a North African blues-rock band. Sort of. I recommend Amassakoul.
I like 'vibey' music to paint to, as I'm easily distracted.

Try out Donnie Darko. A classic.
Shutter island another great film. The exorcisms.
The last one are best viewed with mates to take the total piss in the boring parts.
