So my question is what's the radial range of it? can it only target units directly 90 degrees of the ark or do i have to think of it like a 180 degree angle from front of ship to back? (Don't have the model yet)

In the battlefield

I would assume they have a 180

You are not free whose liberty is won by the rigour of other, more righteous souls. Your are merely protected. Your freedom is parasitic, you suck the honourable man dry and offer nothing in return. You who have enjoyed freedom, who have done nothing to earn it, your time has come. This time you will stand alone and fight for yourselves. Now you will pay for your freedom in the currency of honest toil and human blood.

It's hard to say but it looks like 90 on the one I assembled. The guns are modeled not to move but that's a good question

Then it's a 45 degree cone from the gun, just like any other gun that isn't a turret.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

When people ask, "What's the point in understanding everything?" they've just disqualified themselves from using questions and should disappear in a puff of paradox. But they don't understand and just continue existing, which are also their only two strategies for life.

You have to work out from how it is mounted, same as for any gun. If hull, 45 degrees, if not then whereever it can physically point.

Right, but there's also the statement about weapons glued in place but using the weapon's potential range of motion to determine line of sight, isn't there?

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

Yes, so you work out if it is on a turret mount, or equivalent, or fixed in place like a hull mounting.

Also, as it is counted as one weapon, but is in fact 5, do you have to have all of them in range to make the shot? Or only one?

It's one gun that fires as 5, so only one has to be in range.

Yes. Think of it as a Necron version of the Hurricane Bolter.
