Good day folks!
Just looking for some opinion on this list. I am trying to go for a hybrid list, plenty of shooting to pop vehicles but enough midfield punch to do what wolves do best. Am I on the right track?

Hey there,
I'm just playing at 1000pts atm with my wolves so bear with my questions.
Would a 2nd wolf priest not be a better choice then so many troops choices and would it not be more effective to have razorbacks instead of rhinos dropping 2 men off the 8 man squads to bump them up to assault cannons or laz/plaz?

Wolf Priest or Rune Priest, two completely different things. As for dropping a Grey Hunter Squad for a Rune Priest, Rune Priests can't take objectives. 2/3 games require me to take an objective, and minimizing troops only makes it that much easier to get a draw out of me.
As for Razorbacks/Rhinos, I don't feel that Wolves do mass razorbacks well. They can only move 6, and the special weapons inside are useless unless I pile out and make my dudes available to be shot/assaulted. With Rhinos I can pull up and fire meltas out of the top, or choose to engage when I wish and not lose effectiveness.

A few changes that I would make:
1) Drop 1 Grey Hunter from every Rhino Pack
2) Drop the naked Thunderwolf
3) Put Saga of the Bear on the Lord...with so much Instant Death crap all over the place, you'll want to make sure he has some staying power.
4) Buy some Power Fists for your Wolf Guard. I believe with the savings above you can afford 3 fists in total. Put 2 on the Rhino Hunters and one on the Wolf Scouts. That way you'lll have 2 fairly competent hand to hand units while adding to your disruption element in the backfield.
That's about all I've got.

Sorry, I meant rune priest.
Well I get your points with the troops vs the rune priest.
I think in that case that maybe 2 squads of full rhinos would be enough. Gives more firepower while retaining the flexibility in the list.

Should I try to shave a few points to give my lord a thunder hammer? Or will the wolf claw be sufficient. I like the ability to throw him against big baddies, however I don't like wasting his nice initiative.

I would keep the claw as the Thunder Hammer in the you it is enough. Being able to re roll whatever you want is pretty good too.

Yeah you cant go wrong with this list i feel.
If you dont fancy the claw use a frostblade, s6 on t-wolves i think it is. I also dont think you need the rune armour when you got a shield.
You definitely want a fist on the WS WGuard, mine has had one for years and he always rocks.
I`d also consider mixing the fangs weaponry up, get a unit with a couple of las-cannons and h-bolters, that way you cover more bases.

I will consider it kryczek, but points are an issue. I really don't feel heavy bolters are required as my list has anti infantry in spades. With Hunters, TWC and 12 Frag missiles a turn, I should be able to deal with whatever infantry I need to. And I don't want to drop warm bodies for heavier guns at this point. My scouts and if need be TWCs are able to drop any backfield heavy armor threats if required.
Rune Armor helps me deal better with Missiles galore. It's also nice to help absorb potential wounds as I run up the field.

Dorksim, looking at your lord, I'd say keep the claws. More flexibility and re-rolls plus the twc with the hammer can get the job done on the vehicles/monsterous creatures that you have to deal with.
