Simple question if a unit of necrons is shot to below half and falling back (cant regroup) can it be ported via the Dimensional Corridor at the start of the movement phase?

And if so as it now counts as disembarking from a moving vehicle...does it fall back? count as having regrouped from within the vehicle they disembark or what??

Tricky one, as the unit must move towards the closest board edge IIRC, "counts as disembarking from a moving vehicle" would be a form of movement, and would most likely not be the closest route.

Wouldn't the dimensional corridor override the 'fall back' by making the unit 'disembark from a vehicle' ?

GW has consistently ruled that units are not allowed to make a specialized movement when they are falling back as they are required to make a fall back move and making this specialized move would not allow them to make their fall back move.

This includes things like Veil of Darkness in the old Necron FAQ, Eldar Skyleap, and most recently, Grey Knight Summoning (which teleports ANOTHER UNIT to the Librarian).

They have never ruled to allow units to make such specialized movement as a way to circumvent falling back, and that does include at least one ability that isn't actually used by the falling back unit (Grey Knight Summoning).

So the answer is, IMHO: Based on a clear trail of precedence by GW, you cannot teleport a unit that is falling back as that unit is required to make a fall back move and teleporting the unit would not allow them to make their fall back move and is therefore not allowed.
