10 Scarab bases assault a unit of grey knights.

Grey Knights attack first.

4 wounds are inflicted.

Scarabs fail their saves. (no invuln=failed save)

Force weapons activated.

....................

What are the CC results?

One dead scarab base due to wounds and another due to instant death?

OR

Four dead Scarab bases, all instant death'd?

4 dead bases. "Remove whole models" rule kicks in on weapons that cause instant-death.

So, just to make sure...the wounds are not inflicted directly after the failed save?

the order is

failed save
psychic check
remove models

NOT

failed save
remove models
psychic check
remove wounded models

Correct?

That's how I've always read the rules for Force Weapons, yes.

Yes the order is:

Hit
Wound
Save
NFW activation
Remove models (one model per wound inflicted).
