I play grey knights ...nuff said
Anyway i was playing a game with my friend and he was takeing shots against my 5 man paladin unit. Now everyone but 2 units were different. the unit in the squad was , the justicar, a unit with a hammer, a unit with a sword , and 2 units with halberds. the squad took a total of 4 wounds with armor saves allowd . one paladin with a halberd has 1 wound remaining with everyone else being at full strength before wounds are allocated. i attempted to allocate a 1 wound to the 2 guys with halberds, 1 wound to the guy with a hammer , 1 wound to the guy with a sword and the justicar. he claims that if i want to put a wound on the 2 units that are the same i have to allocate 2 becase i need to " allocate to kill " . Im not wiz kid with the wound allocation system but i think what i was trying to do was fine. idk what do you guys think/know?

Allocating 1 wound to the halberd section of the unit is fine, but that 1 wound, if the save is failed, nukes the wounded paladin.
