1) model basing: I have several IG heavy weapon teams, some of them are mounted both on one big base, some on two separate bases and some (like my valhallen autocannon) in which the loader has a base but the weapon and it's operator do not. Which is considered IDEAL method, and is the last method illegal (IE I should just stick a base under the autocannon cart and call it a day)?

2) Can I use necromunda minis in a GW tournament. I know that I can mod WHFB stuff (I used to play orks, and the Fantasy orcs have some awesome sculpts and a quick snip and glue on a slugga and it's ready to go. But with necromunda I'm not sure, but there are some cool dudes that I want to use for inquisitorial henchmen and IG.

3) What % of a model has to be a GW product? I have an awesome inquisitor acolyte that I've only used in friendly games so far. I took a reaper mini that I really liked, snipped one of his hands off and gave him a bolt pistol. The bolt pistol, right hand, and the base are GW, but the rest is reaper. Is this okay. The right hand, holding a hammer (that was not as cool as the sword in his other hand), ended up attached to a guard lieutenant, is that legal since everthing but his right and and CCW were GW.

#1 The models are to be glued to the base they were supplied with to be legal.

#2 That is 100% up to the TO, ask him before attempting to use necromunda models.

#3 In tournaments it differs but some tournaments say the majority has to be GW product. for friendly games its whatever is acceptable.

Having said that, the rules for Guard Weapon teams have changed since some of the older models were released. As they now count as a single model, having them based together is going to raise the fewest eyebrows, regardless of the bases with which they were originally supplied.

This is the best idea, yes - it's in line with the current intent for basing weapon teams and also has the advantage that your loader won't be higher up than the weapon due to being raised up by the base

Did you know? The Reach belongs to the Forsworn.

For older IG heavy weapons, I have wooden disk cut to the size of dreadnought bases, and just put the team and weapon on top. Have yet to have anybody object, and it really doesn't add any significant height.
