Maybe GW's humungous bores on its cannons aren't so far-fetched after all!

Very interesting device.

Good lateral thinking by the Welsh there.

A water cannon that shoots 10 feet?

A one off medieval artillery Piece?

Here is something a bit more convincing for the massive barrel theory that is a relatively modern, if outdated weapon, which is absurd, but not as outlandish as the water cannon or the ancient cannon in Scotland. This was actually built into a tank, and it saw action multiple times at least.

I present:

THE STORM TIGER
(loose English translation)

STURMTIGER Tiger-Mörser Sturmmörser Sturmpanzer VI

...a 380 mm rocket launcher, which was adapted from a Kriegsmarine depth charge launcher.

Seen firing here at 1:20, enjoy my friends.

I think tradition dictates that they are called British when they do something good/cool.

@ Augustus - good point, can't understand why the Sturmtiger isn't used in more hostage rescues.

Wow the blast from that Sturmtiger is ridiculous.

I really fail to see the application of this watercooler gun in hostage and counter terrorist situations though. If you're going to blow a wall down or tear open a human sized hole in the side of a van, why wouldn't you just use a standard rifle or hand gun...

When was the last time you played a hostage rescue mission in 40k?

Part of me is disappoint.
I was expecting a rant against all of the whining threads about necrons.

On topic: Or a breaching charge?

Not like most civilian buildings or vehicles are armoured, after all.

Doesn't take a lot to get through plasterboard (and the thin sheet metal of a car is no bulletstopper, either).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

(Commander) Alright boys, there are women and children inside the walls of that manufactorum being held by scheming Necrons who are seeking glory for their Tomb World. Bring me the hostage saving Vindicator siege tank!

*Vindicator rolls forward within 5-10 feet of the manufactorum's walls*

(Boys) Vindicator ready sir!

(C) FIRE!

*Vindicator fires, melting the walls of the manufactorum and vaporizing the women and children being held inside.*

(C) The hostages have been liberated! And turned into a slurry of metal, bone and blood, For the emperor!

Easy to see where the demolisher got its basis. I am wiser for this, but I almost wish I wasn't. The sturmtiger is amazing, but its use was disgusting.

Probably because hand guns don't blow man-sized holes through walls.

Ha ha ha! Exactly! Wouldn't mole vehicles that deepstrike like tyranids be awesome? I think so!

Yes, well said. Glad to enlighten, sad to insert some reality. These were incredibly rare compared to other axis and pretty much all allied tanks, and at least know their use wasn't very wide, most being over run and captured, or abandoned.

Very glad to see what this thread is actually about . Lots of nice links in here... and it makes me think the Vindicator is a Little less absurd (but not much).
