Annihilator Barge – 90
Total: 1750 pts.
Tactics is to use the sonic pulses to get into range or deny long-range enemy fire. Within 24'', the army can be rather devastating with its tesla weapons. The Monolith can give fire support say for horde control with its particle whip and allows to pull out Immortals put into reserve when their Night Scythe has been downed. Nevertheless...
The Monolith is still a point sink. I could replace it by one of the following: 5 Wraiths w/ whip coil (x1), particle caster (x2), Doom Scythe, Doomsday Ark, 3 Tomb Spyders w/ tl particle beamer (x1), and fill the remaining points with Scarabs.
Thoughts?

I like it, and I say keep the Mono.
If your going Scythe spam I think you really need it to cover the Scythes weaknesses. It is a fantastic contingency that can provide your army some plurality dynamics if it Deep Strikes, or a mobile blasty wall if your running it up with the rest of the army.

Indeed, the Mono is still a scary tank. Its large blast can be devastating and the portal is also very useful for units staying in reserve and bringing them to the right spot.

You only have 20 troop models total, that seems worrisome. Doesn't take a lot of kills and next thing you know your Crypteks are running off the board.

The thing is, those troops won't be getting into harms way. If their transport is destroyed, the immortals go into reserve. Good luck picking them off. Later in the game, your opponent won't most likely have time to kill them off. I do see the point in the monolith. Go with it.

In fact, there are only 20 Immortals in the army, but they do not face casualties when the transport gets downed. One important thing is to bring them back where you want them and here the Mono comes in. I wouldn't play it too aggressively as it should surivive as long as possible.

How can this list not be used aggressively? The whole point of using the Night Scythe is to get your troops to the enemy ASAP

Not really. With night fight rules, the Night Scythes can eventually stay at 24'' range able to target the enemy being rather safe from long range enemy fire. In this case, I'd eventually keep the Immortals inside of the transports.

I also like the list. The 5-man Immortals squads make me nervous, but they aren't much different from MSU Razorback spam squads.
I'd split the big scarab squad into two, though. 5 will chew through most vehicles anyway, but isn't as vulnerable to getting taken down by one assaulting unit. Even a 10-base squad will get wiped out by basically anything MEQ, so make them work for it.

Interesting list. Definitely a Necron take on Razorspam. Nightspam? Scythespam? In any event, you can only take one solar pule, so you need to fix that.

Incorrect. He has 2 Overlords and can have a Royal Court for each one, each consisting of a single Cryptek with a Solar Pulse.

In fact, two Overlords provide access to two Royal Courts and so to two Crypteks with the same equipment.
