I'm looking to see if this list is viable for cometative play. I know the incinerators aren't seen as highly competative, but they've saved me many times. Any ideas on where I can trim fat? I need something to combat blood angel razor spam and DE venom spam.

If the Paladins had a stormraven I would say this is a good list. Right now everything has mobility except for them

So to put a storm raven in it would look like this

Crowe

5 paladins, incinerator, 4 halberds, hammer

3x 5 purifiers, 2 psycannons, hammer, 2 halberds
3x razorback with PBA searchlight

2x 5 purifiers, 2 incinerators, hammer, 2 halberds
2x razorback with PBA searchlight

Storm raven

3 psydreads

So my only concern about that list is what is the real survivability of the SR. Obviosly it moves flat out, drops cargo next turn, and moves flat out again, but even with a 4+ cover save is it really survivable past a turn or two?

Generally a stormraven will get shot at most whilst carrying its payload of paladins (or deathcult/crusaders). First turn it's on the board it will probably be flat outing (unless your opponent has been insane enough to approach within 15" or so of your board edge and its coming on from reserve). Next turn it will move 12" and unload.

When it flat outs, it takes a hell of a lot of firepower to reliably bring it down (more than many interweb pundits imagine). Of course any lucky shot can bring it down, but even if it is brought down, it has (presumably) brought your paladins to at least the mid-table mark. That is actually often worth 205 points to do.

It's better to have two stormravens than one though and much better to have a librarian for Shrouding too. I find in my two raven list that either one or both get shot down in their first couple of turns on the board or I win. Even if one or both get shot down, the game is far from unwinnable. And once payload is dropped, if the raven survives, which quite often happens as the enemy is then too worried about what it's dropped off, it may well survive to the end of the game (or more pleasingly the enemy devotes a disproportionate amount of his fire against it to bring it down - an empty raven is usually not a good target yet many players seem to focus on it even after it has unloaded).

Personally i don't think purifiers and paladins mix that well. I'd sink the paladin and stormraven points into venerable dreadnoughts instead. If you're against msu light armour spam, 5 dreadnoughts will do the job better than raven/paladin squad and 3 dreadnoughts.
