Hello Community! I just received my KR Multicase, Kaiser 2. I'd like to share my experience with you all, so anyone looking to buy their next miniature carry case can benefit from all the work I did.
Spoiler! There were some manufacture issues (but nothing that reduced functionality), designing your custom load out is confusing, but the value is unmatched. The quality is GREAT for what you pay.
Spoiler 2! At the time of publish, only their
UK site works properly. Design your order there, then talk to the staff about converting it to US or wherever you're really ordering from.

KR Multicase puts their product into every spectrum of the miniature market, and provides especially high value at the low end.
It starts with their standard cardboard case. This case is actually used throughout their collection, so if you're inclined to spill soda on your carry case, it may be risky to go with KR.
For $36, you get a 10.5 inch x 15.5 inch cardboard case with handle, and a custom load out of foam trays.
The trays can be customized to meet what ever your weird mini needs are. I was able to fit nearly my whole Menoth army into one of these cases, and my whole Mercs army into the other.
The nice thing is that if I get another faction, I can just order another case, pick the foam to fit them, and $36 later, problem is solved.
So where does this "Kaiser 2" case come in?
The Kaiser 2 is a particular model carry case that holds 2 of their cardboard cases.
The Kaiser 2 is a firm sided carry case covered in pockets. It has a TON of pockets. I can carry my rule books, my templates, dice, measuring tape, and I still have a ton of space.
I talked to a number of different manufacturers before I settled on KR, and the way I was treated really made a difference to me.
I needed a small bit of 4" pluck foam. I have a 4" tall model called Harbinger of Menoth. It's a notoriously fragile model, and I wanted to make sure it was cared for. It was really the biggest reason I wanted to stop using shoe boxes full of foam, and get something "real"
Looking to Battlefoam, in order to get a 4" pluck foam tray with their privateer bag, I would need to order their "custom load out" for $195 (plus shipping).
I asked them twice... "If I just wanted to substitute the 2 2" pluck trays that come with the $129 pluck foam load out with a single 4", may I? Their answer was no.
I don't expect a company to make a custom product for me any time I ask... I don't know how their warehousing and handling goes. What sounds easy to me may in fact be an extra $65 in work for them.
But KR was willing to go the distance. I exchanged several emails with their team, and we came up with just the load out I needed to make best use of my space, and fit all of my models.
Some words of advice: KR pluck trays come in 3 formats, V,D, and J. The difference is the size of the pluck squares. V is the correct one. It is smaller than all the others, allowing for the best contour to fit your models. Their pluck foam is not the best unfortunately. Even with V, their pluck foam still has a grid of foam, establishing static "troop trays" It's not a deal breaker though. You can easily cut and tear it away to get the right sized trays for your models.

Cons: I mentioned a few manufacturing defects. The trays I received were not exactly the same size. They all fit snugly, but there are some slight variations. As well, the company sent me an extra pluck foam tray, complimentary, and it's a little larger at the base than the top. The handle on the case also had a problem with some of the plastic being twisted on arrival, but this was easily fixed.
The cardboard of the base container makes me a little nervous, but considering the care that I take around my models, and the fact that they are kept in a firm sided, additionally padded box, I am confident that they will be safe.
The last thing I want to mention is that KR's prices all include shipping. my Kaiser 2, with hard sides, 2 custom load outs of foam, and a billion pockets was 129, flat. Not $129 with $20 shipping. If you start with just the cardboard case, it's $36. Not $36 plus shipping.
*edit I absolutely mean particular.
