WE have :

a) the heavy flamer can be fired up to 12" away from the weapon, and the narrow end must be closer(to the weapon that fires) than the large end
b)the rules say that if you fire a template weapon you must put it so it would cross as many models as possible/or to cover as much as possible the vehicle you are firing at...

So there are 2 squad... A and B...and I want to fire my heavy flamer at squad A.........must I put the flamer template to cover as much as possible from squad A.....OR.... can I place it at a point within those 12" and try to to cover as much as possible from squad A and catch some models in squad B?

Same thing with 2 vehicles that are near each over ...must I put the template in such a way that the vehicle A is coverd as much as possible...or ....I choose a point within 12 and put my template there...and try to cover as much as possible from vehicle A(but my large end can not torn back) and though it would touch vehicle B ?

10x a lot,have a good day

Read the rules again - you have to cover as many models as possible in the target unit.

As above. You combine both rules together, so as many models as possible in the target unit covered AND the end within 12" AND the small end closer than the fat end.

Remember that as it is NOT a vehicle you measure from the BASE of the model, NOT the weapon.
