There is a world near the edge of the galaxy positioned almost directly between two ghost stars. The planet Skullscream has a figure eight orbit that has the Planet circling the stars with an equal path. This means that the Planet has extremely long summers, and indeed the time when the planet is directly between the two suns for about 15 days in the middle of the year it is extremely hot all over the planet. On the surface at this time the planets temperature can reach upwards of 50 degrees centegrade on the start and end of the time, and close to 100 in the middle. At this time the world's crust, which is covered almost entirely with rock, shifts and cracks, the planet's tectonic plates become very unstable and the planet's crust is vulnerable to quakes and volcano eruptions during this time. So the Skullscreamers have tunneled deep down below the crust of the planet, and thier citadel is only a million kilometres from the planets core. The entire planet is around 85 million kilometres in diameter and this close to the core the citadel is surrounded by moats of molten lava that frequently claim the subterrainian fauna for their own. The Skullscreamers themselves are the most damnned Space marine Legion in existance. Because the very legion itself, is comprised of the reanimated bodies of dead space marines. The Planet Skullscream is home to a extremely powerful artifact that copies the dead remains of every space marine, chaos or loyalist, renegade or pure, that falls in battle. It appears that at one point the Daemon forges were attempting to create this device and perfect it. Unfortunatley the device was never completed and only the remains of the marines can be copied, not the soul as well. Although memories personality and vigour remain in the skeletal corpse warriors they have no prescence in the warp. This makes them formidable anti psyker foes especially as thier own brand of sorcery is derived from the ancient archotech of the artifact that reanimates the Skull Screamers. (this is a work in progress)
