Morning Dakka!

As per my Chaos 750 list, i'm also considering using a Codex Marine List for an upcoming 750pt tourny at our local club. I've come up with two lists with a slight variation and was wondering what you good folks at Dakka thought? C&C welcome but go easy!

HQ
Captain /w PF - 125

Elite
Dread /w 2x Autocannons - 125

Troops
Tacticals x10 /w Rhino, ML, Flamer, Serge /w BP & CS - 205
Tacticals x10 /w Rhino, ML, Melta, Serge /w BP & PW - 225

Fast
Speeder /w HF & MM - 70

750pts

Idea here is DS the Speeder behind trouble units to either flame or melta them, i know for a fact some people are talking of using a LR in the tourny so i need some anti AV14. I'll combat squad the tacticals, leaving the ML's camped on the home objective with 8 troops. The Rhino's go forward with 5 each, a Special weapon and serge in each one, the Captain will ride with the melta for anti mech. The rifleman will pop transports

My second list is almost identical apart from swapping the speeder out for a Whirlwind and dropping the power weapon for one of the squads:

Similar tactics here, combat squading the tacticals, apart from i'll use the Rifleman dread to pop transports and then pie plate the insides with the whirlwind, or use the whirlwind to pie plate anything in cover. I'm losing anti AV14 with this list, but gain more horde control. (I'll be facing a white scars bike list i know that for a fact)

Any thoughts people? I'll hopefully play test both these lists tonight to see how it fairs.

Funny you should say that as i dropped the Captain in favour of the libby before the game.
The game went quite well actually. The one, two tap from with the dread and whirlwind worked a treat for popping a rhino and killing some of the gooy insides, i lost the game, but that was due to really bad dice rolls (lots of 1's!) and some silly tactical mistakes on my part.

Next question is what powers are best to take on the libby, I'm thinking Smite as the AP2 will be great against MEQ's, not sure on the second power however.
