A list a put together after I realized how dominant Zahndrekh and Vargard are together. I feel it is very strong for 2000 points, and would give most armies a pretty difficult time. Tell me any flaws, and changes you would make. Any and all criticism is accepted. My main problem is stated at the end if you just want to go there. Thanks

HQ:
Zahndrekh: 185

Vargard: 160

(Royal Court)
Cryptek: 55
-Destruction
-Solar Pulse

Cryptek: 35
-Destruction

TROOPS:
Immortals x10: 170
Immortals x10: 170

ELITE:
Lychguard x7: 280

Triarch Stalker: 165
-TL Heavy Guass

Deathmarks x5: 95

FAST ATTACK:
Scarab x8: 120

Wraith x3: 135
-Whip Coil

HEAVY SUPPORT:
Doomsdar Ark: 175
Doom Scythe: 175

TRANSPORT:
Command Barge: 80

TOTAL: 2000 exact

TACTICS:
Zandrekh in the Command Barge to attack a heavy squad
Vargard goes with 7 lychguard, they use ghostwalk mantle and go next to Zandrekh
when the time is ready.

The two crypteks seperate with the Immortals. One has a solar pulse so he get make
Nighttime in the first turn, allowing Zandrekh to get close without any problems, also allowing the Scarabs, and Wraiths to get close to vehicles/squads. It also allows the deathmarks to get close if they didn't deep strike, and it allows the Doomsday ark to move on the first turn, without the fear of being shot at.

The Stalker and the Doom Scythe will go where they are needed, most likely following a sqaud of Immortals to back them up.

The Death Marks will deepstrike if enemy has a strong unit deepstriking, allowing me to immediately deepstrike and choose them as my Unit that I Wound on 2+. If I deploy first I will put automatically deep strike them.

Finally my Scarabs will attack any vehicle. If no vehicles, they will go with the wraiths who equipped with whip coils, will make everyone in base contact have Initiative of 1, allowing my scarabs to make all attacks without worry of being insta-killed by power weapons ie. dreadnought, termies, etc.

I know a huge flaw in my game is having 20 immortals and not having 1 res orb with them. I really want to do it but it's going to jack the points up. If you have any suggestions on how I could do this, or where I could add him and then some extra for a 2250 list, let me know please!!!

If your wanting to protect you Immortals with an Orb:

I would suggest dropping you Doomsday Ark to an ABarge. With the 85 points you could get:
Lord/ResOrb/WS and have 10 points left over. The reason I would go ahead and give the WS is you could use this unit a bit more aggressively, and keep the other Immortals further back and safer.

Obviously if your loving the Ark that's a no go, the only other option I could see is tweaking down the LG or one of the Immortal squads to buff the other one, but I really feel 7 to 8 LG is the sweet spot.

Well I've proxied a an doomsday ark and I loved it, but I don't mind dropping it, the problem is, I could only get one lord with a res orb, and that leaves the other squad of immortals completely empty. I'm thinking about just making it a 2250 army but I don't know if it's worth it. otherwise, do you think it's a good idea??

In my opinion, the wraiths in the new dex are not bad, only different. If you want a couple of res orbs, I suggest looking there first.

As for your heavy support, I suggest going either 2 DS or 2 Arks. I personally like the Arks better as they DS's weapons aren't the most reliable for me. Pie templates also give me that warm fuzzy feeling inside. I also am unsure why you don't through the Nemesor in with Van and his guard so that they always remain in LoS of the tactical buff and the enemy unit they choose to engage is in LoS for the debuff. Definitely think that this combo is one of the most over looked at gems of this new dex. In my opinion it goes Stormlord, Nemesor/Oberon, and Trazyn. I am currently trying to fit the last 2 in a 2000 point dream list and I would love to hear how he preforms for you.

Good luck and good hunting.

I'm not sure I completely understand one of your sentences. " I also am unsure why you don't through the Nemesor in with Van and his guard so that they always remain in LoS of the tactical buff and the enemy unit they choose to engage is in LoS for the debuff"

Other than that, I want to know how these models work too, but they haven't come out yet, and I'm not too good at being creative in that sense. I may just proxy with my brother because he won't mind. BTW any realease date on the models???
