Ogryns wielding heavy weapons (missile launcher, lascannon, etc) on the appropriate HWT base. The Ripper Gun is just replaced with whichever heavy weapon the ogryn would be armed with.
Acceptable? I wanted to know your opinions before I shelled out for metal ogryns

I would go with it, if only to see Ogryns on the table being used ;P
But that being said, I would make a massive disclaimer before a match as to the fact they're not Ogryns being used, but in fact HWTs. Considering Ogryns are regular units within the IG anyways, its understandable there could be confusion.

It doesn't make sense since they're still just T3 models. If you clarified it then go for it, but heavy weapon teams are one of my favorite aesthetics of the IG army and I wouldn't want to lose out on it personally.

Why not use fantasy ogres instead? You still get ogryn-esque models, but they have no armor or real clothing, and they're obviously different models. Try it that way? I'd play against it though-I think it would add serious flair to the army, especially if you have a theme going. Have fun!

Yeah, but rule of cool should apply. If it looks cool, let it go. If it's just an ogryn scratching his butt while his lascannon is lying off to the side, it won't fly. Actually...never mind. That would be pretty cool.

That might be cooler than an ogryn holding his gun in a generic, shooting pose. Some people though are dumb and they'd say "oh, but I couldn't remember it's a hwt and not an ogryn so waaaaaaa!" There are picky gamers just like there are picky eaters.

Hopefully my butt-scratching ogryn isn't a picky eater. Lol
