I'm making a Stormtrooper Strike Force Army using Stormtrooper models as Veterans(the entire army is a detachment that is part of an Inquisitorial retinue)

Here is my list

HQ
Company Command Squad
4x melta guns
mounted in Valkyrie with MRP

Troops
Veteran squad
3x melta
mounted in Vendetta

Veteran Squad
3x melta
mounted in Vendetta

Veteran Squad(\(stays back and watches over objectives and uses flamers to destroy any rushing hordes, especially Ork bikerz)
3x flamer
mounted in Chimera

Heavy Support
Basilisk(requisitioned for crowd control)

Hydra Flak tank(anti turbo boost counter measure)

Fast Attack
Vendetta(with the Vet Squad)
Vendetta(with the vet squad)
Valkyrie with MRP(with the ccs)
Anything I can do to improve my list?

Drop the Basilisk, you have nothing defending it really and the minimum range kills it. Not to mention the scatter when your goal is to drop troops near the enemy to melta them. I would seriously consider getting a second Valk with MRPs and Squadroning them up. I am not a fan of the Squadron rules, but your CCS and your Vets mounted up in them gives you a scoring unit and extra fire power. Drop the Chimera then and use the points for a Astropath and a OotF to ride wwith your CCS (+5pts from somewhere else). The Hydra off by itself is not terrible, but at the end of the day it /is/ a Hydra off by itself.

If you insist on something closer to your current list, you should consider giving the camping Vets 3x Plasma guns and a LC (190pts, counting Chimera) over 3 Flamers. Heck, I would even leave the hull HB. Which is better at 12"? Six plasma shots and a LC plus Chimera or 3 flamers plus Chimera? Oh yeah... BS 4. Don't waste it.

Personally, I would rather throw Harker in the squad over the Chimera, or even Sentries over the Chimera. Makes the squad more durable from shooting and Harker is Harker and Sentries in cover means Chargers lose the extra attack in CC /and/ are Init 1 if they go through cover/terrain to get to your troops. Sentries actually make me consider a PW for the Vets as a viable option. You can consider them a forward patrol to go in your fluff.

Wrong. well, right but wrong!
I agree on dropping it, but IF YOU FIRE IT DIRECTLY, THERE"S NO MIN. RANGE!!!!!!

I'd consider dropping the lone Chimera. it probably won't last too long by itself.
I'd consider DSing 1-2 Stormtrooper squads instead maybe. 2 meltas or plasmas.
Depending on points and your local Meta.

If it is direct firing, it will /maybe/ get one shot off, because why wouldn't the opponet light it up first turn, specially since it is open topped and super easy to take out?

Only by firing indirect will it possibly get more than one shot off... maybe.

You'll notice how i agreed with you.
But now by explaining what you have, there's one less person not given
incorrect info about a unit. the way you said it at first totally feeds into
the misconception about there being a min. range.

If you calculate again, you have 20 points to much

don't think, you have to know it if you want to be a commander
2010-> IG losses:5, draws: 1, wins: a really lot of wins
2011 IG losses: 2, draws: 1 wins: 32
2012 losses: 8, draws: 0 wins: 15
