Looking forward to getting my first test game in with the crons since the codex revision and trying to build a list that gells with my plans and plays differently to the other armies I've played (CSM / SW)
After spending far too much time and money painting metal boxes for my MEQs to ride in I'm looking to build a list with no vehicles at all.

Instead trying to build a footsloggin army that tries to capitalize on the necron survivability and swarming potential of the scarabs.

HQ -- 525
- Nemesor (With Warrior swarm)

Royal Court:
- 2 x HOD
- 1 x Solar Pulse

- Destroyer Lord (With wraiths or praetorians)
- Voidblade
- Res Orb

Royal Court:
- 2 x HOD
- 1 x Solar Pulse

Elite -- 200
- Praetorians (Destroyer Lord goes here or with Wraiths)

Fast Attack: 470
- 6 x Wraiths
5 x Whip Coils
- 7 x Scarabs
- 7 x Scarabs

Troop: 655
- 19 x Warriors (Nemesor + HOD with Pulse goes here)
- 8 x Immortals with telsa (HOD with Pulse goes Here)
- 8 x Immortals with telsa (HOD goes Here)
- 8 x Immortals with telsa (HOD goes Here)

Heavy: 150
- 3 x Tomb Spiders

Strategy:
- Nemesor with warrior blob hold home/mid objective ( moving nemesor and HOD to forefront of blob to allow for shooting and Nemesor granting or taking away USR from units)
- 3 x immortal squads spread to take other objectives
- 1st group of scarabs move up to attack enemy armor and soften up so immortals or warrior squads can pop them open
- 2nd group of scarabs stay at home to get built up by the spiders (End of T2 squad size would be approx 13 strong) spreading out for board control and bubblewrap units.
- Wraiths either assault attacking troop units or move to support advancing immortals (Nemesor buffs with furious charge or counter attack as needed)
- Praetorians w/ lord attack either armor or troop units (Nemesor buffs with furious charge or counter attack as needed)
- HOD pop any armor at range or outside of immortal/warrior gun range

Comments appreciated.

didnt realize the no court bit with the destroyer lord.

Not a major concern as it just removes the 2nd solar pulse from the list. Which gives me enough points to give mindshackle crabs to the destroyer lord.

While I'd like to have 2 turns of nightfigthing it would take too much shuffling to get a 2nd lord into the list without reducing capability elsewhere.

The only thing I dont like about your armylist is the 20 man fottslogging squad of warriors. It can be swept in one go but hopefully the enemy is tied up focusing on something else.

I don't like them either, especially not as a place for Nemesor to hide. After all, he'll be swept just as easily as they would. I prefer to hide him with Tesla Immortals so they can move/shoot/deny/give abilities all at once.

The Destroyer Lord will go best with Praetorians if you're taking a Res Orb. Wraiths can't RP so the Orb would be wasted on them. If you want him with the Wraiths, I'd give him Mindshackle Scarabs, Sempiternal Weave, and a Warscythe. Compliments Wraiths really well. Either way, I'd build your Lord to go with one unit or the other. He can't work for both at the same time (and personally I think supporting Wraiths would be more worth the effort).

As general advice, I'd take more Immortals. If you want to do a Necron footslog, I think a solid core of troops will be vital. And since you're not taking Ghost Arks, Immortals are the guys for you. I think it could work quite well to take 4-6 squads of 10 Immortals each. Resilient to shooting, good for objective-taking, and come in at a reasonable amount of points.

(P.S. If you didn't like painting Space Marine vehicles, you're definitely doing yourself a favor by sitting out on Necron vehicles. I've been working on a few this week and IMO they're a lot more difficult.)

tru the 20man blob would get rolled as soon as anything got into hth with them, but would be very resilient to shooting attacks due to the res orb and the omnipresent cover save with objective camping. Plus with 20 of them I could probably claim more than 1 x objective.
Provided I can keep scarabs or the spiders in the way i should be able to keep them out of hth reach. And If their inside charging range theyre also within rapid fire range, so should not survive long.
[additionally, I feel guilty not using them as I have so many of the old warrior models from an earlier failed army attempt]

But if I did decide to go the all immortal route-----
In playing with the list builder I see I can make 5 x 7 man immortal squads and put a HOD in each. I get 1 x more HOD and 1 more scoring unit, upping the objective grabbing potential.
But not sure if it will have the same effect im looking for.

Anyways, will see what happens on the tabletop and go from there before buying 6 + boxes of immortals
