Shouldn't I get an email each time a new reply comes out for the thread? I haven't been getting any emails.

You get one until you check the thread. If for some reason it has not registered you reading that thread, you wont get more emails about it.

Additionally, they can end up in your spam folder if you get too many, there could be infrequent hiccups with our mail provider that mean they dont get sent or are delayed getting sent, etc.

On top of all that, it is a bit glitchy under some circumstances as well (known low priority bug)
