Um.....Daemons don't really move around in Space Hulks in that respect. While traveling in the warp Daemons can come aboard and only really properly invade worlds when they are summoned by Chaos marines, Cultists or mutants or a warp storm. Also the entire situation requires the following info;
1: Size of Necron Tomb World
2: How the Daemons had arrived
3: What Necrons are on the world
And probably several more.

That would depend highly on several factors
-how strong is the breach in real space, in other words, how many demons can enter reality and for how long
-how fast does the Necron tomb awaken. If it awakens slowly, then it will most likely get crushed. If it awakens quickly, then the Necrons may stand a chance.
However, beating Demons is never easy.

If the tomb has one of the fields that reinforces reality and dampens the daemons. and the speed of the awakening would be huge factors.

lets say:
- the tomb world awkens quickly
- the breach is large & allows many thousands of lesser daemons to enter but only accompanied by no more than a dozen greater daemons of khorne & nurgle

If the tomb world is that powerful, then the Necrons would most likely win. All they would have to do is activate the Null Fields and the demons could never touch the tomb itself, meaning the Necrons could attack from an invincible position. Not to mention, the Null Fields very presence would de-stabilze the warp storm, decreasing the length of time the demons could materialize.

The Null field as well as the general protection systems of a Tomb World would probably defeat the Daemons, IMO.
... Or, well, I would say that, but a dozen Greater Daemons?
That seems pretty absurd, I'm not convinced that the Necrons could handle that. Not a single Tomb World.

A dozen Greater Daemons of any description would butcher millions fighting together.

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it. |

You have to consider that Grey Knights are sooper effective against Daemons.

This sure seems like the kind of question that could easily be answered at the local game store.
Set your Daemons on the table, I'll bring my Necrons and we'll settle it. hee hee
(I'm undefeated with the new codex, as in played one and won one, so I talk pretty big. I was not undefeated on the old codex, not by a very long shot!)

75 Grey Knights. Skulltaker killed 1/4 on his own.

It was 200 GK terminators and AFAIK Skulltaker wasn't there.

Both wrong. Skulltaker killed 1/4 of all Brother-Captains at Armageddon I, according the second paragraph of the daemon's codex entry. Considering that Brother-Captains use to lead Terminator squads in C: DH that probably equates to somewhere between two-to-five kills *sketchy maths abound* depending on squad sizes. Since C:GK, the GKT squad leaders have been rebranded as Justicars instead.

Prolly not max squad size, because I dunno how you would take .5 of a skull (10 squads/ 4=2.5 so at max squad size, he would have to kill 2 and a half Brother captains... Well that could kinda work, the guy he half killed could have banished him.)
Now that we (I) Mentioned(forced into conversation) Skulltaker.... Would Special Character Daemons (Skarbrand, the Scribes, the Masque, any of them) be in this invasion, or just Bloodthrister # 400298753 and Great Unclean One #603984?
And would this be generic Tomb World 47-Z with Necron Overlord Gener Ick or would this be the Home of Trazyn or Imotehp.

From what I understand, the OP means equal footing for both factions. I'm not sure if special characters are applied but i would assume, he means in a giant fight who would come out on top, if both used everything at their disposal

It all depends if the necrons can get their null fields on time, or if the deamons can destroy the null field generators.
If they do manage to stop the null fields from activating the real question is, is there any other way that necrons can close the rift?
