Hey chaps
I got my wife a model of Lilith ages ago that she had a go at painting at the weekend. Seems she really enjoyed it and wants to get more, but after playing Everquest and Warhammer Online Fantasy is what takes her fantsy.
I havent played fantasy since the box set with of the Lizardmen! So just picked up Island of Blood for us as a suprise Christmas Present.
She is really taken with the High Elves and I have always liked Skaven and she even sounds keen to get into the gaming side too!
So anyone else here manage to pull their wife/girlfriend to the darkside?

Lol, not a chance. I once tried a demo with Mrs Flashman using a unit of Dwarf Warriors and a unit of Skaven Clanrats. She got bored after the first round of combat

I got my wife into WFB a few years back. She now has a DE army that I designed for her and that I have yet to beat with my HE. She rolls exceptionally well.

My wife fancied the Orks in 40k. She turned out to be awesome at painting and picked it up in no time. She beat the stuffing out of me in a trial game as well. Then as if to infuriate me after showing so much promise, decided it was not for her. Ah well.

I thought the subject here was a euphemism.
....No matter how much I tell her she'll get a taste for it if she tries it, my wife just wont....take....the...plunge!!
(Would be funnier if it wasn't true (on all counts))

Please imagine I wrote something funny here.....Something bloody hillarious....

I try to get my fiance into it. She painted a spider for a gobo spider rider and it was better than most ive ever seen. Even had a local commission painter asked who i commissioned it from as it was at his skill level. Then she up and decided she didnt want to paint anymore. As far as playing goes ive gotten her into video games like skyrim but she told me she has absolutely no interrest in warhammer world. :(

The missus always reads WD, and wants to get Dreadfleet.
I suspect that if we didn't have a couple of toddlers, and thus very little time, she would play.
Give it a few years, perhaps we'll be playing family campaign games.

I'd suggest that wargaming has less to do with you not having a wife, than you being 14... well maybe is some places I guess...
