Strangely Beautiful Daemonette of Slaanesh

Name
: Black Hexes

War-Band's Fortress Location: Unmapped planet known only as "The Garden"

Founding: M41.964

Current Leader: Terminator Lord Cato

Second in Command: Impetus Raelynn (former SoB)

Chaos God: Slaanesh

Conflicts:
Many raids on imperial planets.
Many, many, many recruiting efforts on dangerous planets.
Hit and run tactics on several Space Marine chapters such as the Silver Skulls and White Scars.
Successfully teamed up with two other war-bands to steal gene seed from an Astarte fortress Monastery
Failed at commandeering an Ultra Marines Battle Barge.

Largest conflicts: The Hexes allied themselves with many other war-bands to steal slaves and ships from an imperial dockyard in M41. 988. They were successful though they suffered a few casualties, but they did gain a necessary battle barge.
The Hexes are taking part in the 13th black crusade

How they were founded...

Once a part of the Black Crosses Space Marine Chapter, the black hexes rose to chaos from their blind way of life. No longer shall they have to fight for pitiful humanity and no longer is their lust controlled by the petty inquisition.

The Black Hexes ascended to their new found glory when Sisters of Battle arrived to reinforce the Black Crosses on a campaign against a chaos insurrection on the planet Shar IV. As the campaign went on, some Black Cross and Sisters of Battle grew fond of one another. Relationships started to occur in the midst of battle between the two forces. They once saw themselves as rivals but as the battles progressed against the chaos war machine the two allies saw each other as more than just comrades in the fight for humanity.

Inquisitors noticed the mesh between some of the space marines and some of the SoB. Thus they took action to separate the marines and SoB who were showing signs of relation. Distraught by having cut loose from his only connection to emotion, Astarte Cato forswore his oath to the empire in secret. He longed for Raelynn's touch, her lips, her body. Nothing ever motivated him so much in his life.

He schemed and schemed about how to win his prize back. Cato planned to swear his soul to Slaanesh in exchange for his prized witch hunter. Cato would take back what was his or die trying. He no longer saw the point of fighting with no repercussion to his actions. He became furious at the thought at all he sacrificed of himself for the empire to not even be allowed a female.

The war band always met up in secret after doing battle with the Chaos daemons, whether it be a bunker, a ruin, a tent, or anything that wouldn't be too supscious. Cato made his most trusted comrades lieutenants to carry out his word to the other men. There they mapped out their plan, to steal their prizes back.

Slaanesh, never witnessed such an act before by an Astarte nor by a witch hunter. She smiled upon Cato and his rebellion as they planned to act through stealth, deciet, and decadence to win their women back. Cato and his brothers plan was to hijack a ship, meet up with the sisters, and settle a fortress on a secluded planet. There they could fight for themselves and for the godess of perfection. But he needed Slaanesh's approval first. So he and his brother's swore their allegiance to Slaanesh and waited for a sign that Slaanesh would accept them.

This sign came in the form of a night attack by Daemonettes and Seekers against their companies Command Post where Cato and his in-the-closet warband of 30 were. Cato used this as an advantage as, in the midst of battle the entire warband abandoned the entire front line, killing their old comrades who stood in their way as they tasted the prizes ahead of them. The Warband met up as planned and hijacked two thunder-hawks and destroyed the other two so not to allow any loyalists to escape. With the thunder-hawks at their disposal, they knocked out the communications bunker. Thus sealing the fate for his old company as they were overrun without any reinforcements to aid them.

Cato stood in front of his old superiors who he used to call brother sergeant. He was now their lord, he was now their leader. He went from a petty Battle Brother to a Chaos Lord in a matter of months. But only the first part of their plan was complete and he had yet to prove himself as a leader by getting his brothers what he had promised them.

Relying on the fact that the communications relay was destroyed they arrived where the Sisters of Battle were stationed. They told the Space Marine Commander that they were the only survivors of their old company, the one they betrayed and left to die.

When the commander asked why they chose not to die with their brothers, Cato told the captain that their communications had been knocked out and that it was imperative they got the information to their superiors.

The commander had the slightest hint of suspicion but did not act, as he knew some of the space marines with Cato, and thought of them as trust worthy men. So the commander integrated the remnants (the in-the-closet war-band) into the space marines and sisters of battle stationed on with them.

This is when the space marines finally met up with their prizes. When Raelynn saw Cato they embraced each other as well as the other war-band members did. There were, however, some sisters that weren't there as they had been killed in combat, this upset the few that did not get their prizes.Cato addressed them and told them they would raid worlds in the future, and they would be the first among them to claim any prize or treasure they stole, even before Cato himself.

But the Sisters did not know of this plan; to run away and forsake the emperor. Maybe some would turn on their space marine partners out of devotion to the emperor? Cato again addressed his lieutenants in secret. He would announce it to all the sisters at once, if any declined they would be killed. The lieutenants agreed that this was the only way to succeed.

When the moment came none of the sisters declined. All wanted to be free to spend their lives with their perfect men, such is the goal of all women in this universe. The Sisters forswore their emperor and pledged their souls to Slaanesh.

Cato then made his move to escape. In the cover of another battle, they commandeered another ship, this one capable of interstellar travel. They let the crew on board live, but made them swear to chaos under the threat of 10 years of torture. The war-band successfully abandoned their chapter with their prizes. Cato was even awarded a small amount of gifts from slaanesh. He became more attractive, and at the same time more powerful with a blade.

As they reached a planet unknown and unmapped by the empire, yet capable of sustaining life, the sisters (now known as the Impetus) and the Space Marines painted their old silver armor to this

Now, I'm no expert on SoB by any stretch, but I'm 95% sure that the chances of even one Sister turning to chaos - let alone from falling in love with space marines - are very, very, astronomically low. The whole group of sisters turning? Essentially impossible in the 40k universe. Sisters of Battle are probably among the most pious, fervent believers in the Emperor, pure beyond our imagining. Falling in love and swearing allegiance to Slaanesh just doesn't work in the grim dark universe of 40k.

Let alone the idea of the space marines falling in love too. Its just far-fetched, ignores key aspects of established fluff, and sounds cliches and silly.

Sorry if that's harsh, but you can choose to ignore me and do what you want, as its your army and models. But if you want feedback, it just simply doesn't make sense in the 40k universe.

Yeah I realize that barely any sisters have fallen to chaos but the idea is still fun to play around with. Especially since it appeals to my tastes.

This is besides the point but what would have to change in the story to make it possible? The SM just came and stole the sisters away, knocking them all unconsious then putting them on the ship? Or that Slaanesh took control of a psyker inquisitor, who then swayed the mind of the sisters of battle from psychic warp powers, who seduced the SM, which was the catalyst to prompt them to rebel in the beginning. I certainly don't see it as an impossibility for the fluff as lust can take over any man. Maybe i can switch around some things to make it more fluffable (for lack of a better word)

But the main point of the Space Marines turning to chaos is not the lust itself. It is the anger they have because they feel like unappreciated slaves to the Imperium. I do admit that they just show up and the sisters agree is kind of a plot hole, but it is one that can be fixed.

btw thanks for responding, barely anyone ever comments on my fiction here

Frankly, chaos Sisters makes as much sense as chaos Grey Knights; it just doesn't work know matter how hard you spin it. Anything to do with love also won't make sense; Space Marines love only the emperor, and only in a kind of 'I must kill everything opposed to the Emperor' kind of way.

Space marines turn to chaos for a variety of reasons, including tainted and powerful relics, illusions of grandeur, obsession with perfection, and shame of a flaw. Love is not among these reasons.

At the same time I could throw in corruption from slaanesh to the sisters, anger would consume them.

Have you ever been seperated by a loved one because of "the rules" I know i have and it sucks and gets you pissed off.

Now if someone seperated me forever I would get super pissed.

""The following statement comes from the Codex: Sisters of Battle 2nd edition: "A sign of the Sisters strength is the fact that in their entire history only a single sister, Miriael Sabathiel, has fallen to the lure of Chaos. How Miriael fell is unknown, only that she was turned from the Emperor's light to Slaanesh worship, and now serves as one of the prince of chaos' greatest warriors."

However this is clearly contradicted by the Graphic novel Daemonifuge in which a Sister was seduced by a Navigator (who had been corrupted by a daemonic servant of Slaanesh) and several Sisters were completely corrupted by a Keeper of Secrets, a greater Daemon of Slaanesh. The novel "Cain's Last Stand", It is also stated that an entire Mission of Sisters were seen engaging Imperial forces with Chaos cultists, Cain is also confronted by two sisters under Daemon influence."

quote from bolter and chainsword.

I will also improve this Warband's fluff and make sure its not as corny as this rough draft. But going from other novels that people have written, corrupted sisters grouping up with corrupted space marines is entirely feasible and can belong in the 40k universe. However there has to be a force much stronger than love to get this to happen. I guess I have much editing to do.

I live across the country from my fiance because of my job, or "the rules" as you put it.

Love is not a factor for Space Marines. Their primary thoughts and feelings include killing, purging, cleansing, and worshiping the Emperor in whatever way they deem.

The fact about Sisters though is that (with the exception of some potentially non-canon or questionable Black Library sources) they are perhaps the most faithful servants of the Emperor. Love is not going to make them turn to chaos. Sisters are like Space Marines in their singular mindset of killing, purging, cleansing and worshiping (for the sisters militant anyways).

Its just too coincidental and lazy sounding to have an entire chapter of marines fall in love with a similarly sized group of sisters who all suddenly do away with hundreds of years of faithful service for some snuggling time.

Sure, you can spin chaos Sisters of Battle, but they make about as much sense as chaos Grey Knights, considering the 'official' source states only one has ever turned. Finally, Space Marines do not fall in love. Chaos Marines may go on the occasional spree of raping and pillaging the countryside, but loyalists don't.

If they turn to chaos by being under-appreciated, leave the sisters out of it and create a situation for them to turn using that as their motivation. That idea makes a lot more sense, sounds plausible, is more creative, and will make your warband better in the long run if the idea is worked properly.

Anyways, you can do as you wish, but put me firmly in the 'No sexytimes between marines and sisters' camp.

Yes and i will be separated from mine for 4 years when I ship out for the infantry then another 8 when I go special forces.

Alright so no love. And I'm not a pervert looking to get off on this "SO HaWT Sister Of battle pR0n dood!"

But at the same time Chaos look after themselves, so if it was necessary for the corrupted SM to unite with corrupted SoB is feasible, and for them to band together to make a more powerful force is even more feasible.

I'm a military man myself, so I feel your pain.

I understand you're not looking to make some kind of sisters pronz, nor would I accuse of you of it. Love is just not a particularly strong emotion in the 40k universe, considering survival is paramount. Space Marines are far more motivated by power, perfection, revenge/vengeance, honour, and spiritual fulfillment.

Having a small band of sisters that already turned and lead a small pirate fleet, where your chapter joins up with them once they turn is more believable...though I still cringe at the thought of chaos sisters .

Hope I haven't been too much of a nuisance.

Oh absolutely not! I think its awesome to finally have an actually discussion with someone on here about my writing instead of "it looks good". I mean would I have the idea's i have now about my fluff without your input? Not at all.

But I think I will do something of a pirate fleet like you were saying, where once they turn they link up.

Or I was thinking more along the lines of they discover a tomb with a tome in it that corrupts the SM and SoB when they open it.

I'd go with Blacksail's Pirate fleet idea...
Though I'd make the SoB more mercenary rather than full on chaos.

Well I'm glad to have helped. I generally only comment on threads where I can actually provide real input rather than "Its nice".

As purplefood said, making the whole idea more of a mercenary would fit as well. I think a lot of people overlook that option when creating 'Chaos' warbands. A chapter can forsake the Emperor and not necessarily fall sway to any one Chaos god. They can always become renegades with no allegiance, just seeking to carve out a name and amass power and wealth along the way.

Food for thought.

Especially if a chapter has just turned from the Imperium because they felt unappreciated. They would feel even less appreciated with Chaos...

Then I can give them a real reason to turn to Slaanesh (I kinda have to since they're assembled that way) lol

But that Idea sounds good. The SM and SoB will integrate very well.

It happens like this.
Renegade Space Marines get in contact with these Mercenary SoB somehow and they form a symbiotic relationship.

The Space marines get a home, a ship, and equipment where the Mercenary Sisters of battle get deadly space marines to fill their ranks.

The group eventaully gets influenced by slaanesh one way or another and they then become a whole instead of two different entites in a relationship.

also about the appreciation deal. They aren't fighting for the chaos gods, they're fighting for themselves. They don't recognize slaanesh as their saviour, only as a tool as they understand that slaanesh recongnizes them as a tool as well.
