Subject: Bases and legality with FW Death Riders

I do not play tournaments...but if I ever did...I have a serious problem.
Death Riders come with, and are mounted on in Forge World photos, large round bases.
Rough Riders of any other sort, and bikers, are mounted on the horse/bike bases.
The prior works for me to make the models more detailed (I didn't spent $200+ just to slap them on a tiny base!) - and since they are the bases supplied with the models... how would this go over _IF_ I took it into a tournament in some far future and alternate reality?
My FLGS is very tournament-rules based, even in friendly games, and curious how I might go about this if someone insisted.

If FW models are allowed, then they must be used with the base provided.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

FW Models would be no more permitted than fantasy models. No rule says you must use the Atillan rough riders.

It depends on who you play. If you say that the Death Riders count as regular Guard outriders, that's one thing. If you are playing a Death Korp army, you need check with the TO or get permission from your opponent.

If you're using them as regular Rough Riders, then they should be fielded on the same size base as regular Rough Riders.
That being said, a lot of tournaments are fairly lenient when it comes to basing. Just run it past the TO before the event.
