I remember reading in News and Rumors about Army Boxes that are rumored to come out some time in December. I also know that there is a holiday guide in the latest WD, but my FLGS has sold out (and lost their loose holiday guide.) Can anyone help me out with the possible price/contacts of the DE box? Or at least point me to the rumor post about the same, as my search fu has failed me. *goes back to training*

Good news. This is the best time in the hobby. Full of promise. GW lets us down each time and we know it but secretly we're hoping that this is the edition that GW gives us a balanced game that can also be played competitively at tournaments. I'm loving it.

They have a Skaven and HE one too. My local GW manager said it would be around the $300 USD range.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

Dark Eldar and Space Marines.

I hate to say it but looking at the Dark Eldar one it looks good value, compared to the total independent price of what you get in it.

Thanks! I appreciate it. It's an interesting pack of stuff, surely.

I dislike the Dark Eldar one, because from what I read, it comes with 20 Wyches instead of Warriors......

Looking at the cover-shot of the box, it comes with 20 Wyches AND 10 Warriors.

Why so many reavers why

the space marine one is actually worth it you can run a decent army with it while the dark eldar one is pretty good money wise.
Its too bad the units in there are random as eff like the 9 reavers and only 3 skimmers all of different type. Plus 20 wyches is weird
instead of 20 warriors and as opposed to old spearhead boxes there is no kind of HQ included. I think an archon or razorwing would be
a better value personally as 9 reavers is the ultimate pointsink next to death company. I am honestly confused as to what kind of army you can cobble out of it
but if it works more power to you. Also happy thanksgiving to all

Somewhere... Out there...

It appears that the Space Marine Megaforce set comes with an HQ selection, however the Dark Eldar does not. I have been planning on creating a Dark Eldar army myself. I have been waiting to see the Megaforce deal. Alas, I have been tempted to get the SM deal and add it to my existing force.

The Space Marine Megaforce seems to be a complete 1200 pt force. You get the required HQ and 2x Troops choices along with a heavy (LR Crusader).

The Dark Eldar Megaforce does not seem to be as "complete" in it's build. There is no HQ choice present and it seems to heavily lean towards the Wyches, rather than the Warriors. I personally would prefer to have another squad of Warriors.

Hopefully I will make my final decision and get a set....
