Possessed Khorne Marine Covered in Spikes

I misplaced my Codex and wondering on some wargear for my Battlewagon.
I added a boarding plank to one of the passenger doors to drop down to the street and I have a spare arm and wrecking ball. Are these legal for outfitting them to Battlewagons?
Also, why was I told it is CHEESE to take 5 Battlewagons with Nobz in an army list!? It's in the rules, so why not?
Thanks.
Tim

Just because something is legal doesn't mean it isn't cheesy. For example, taking a razorback spam army is often considered cheesy, but perfectly legal. Deffrolla battlewagon spam with Big Meks with KFFs is something I would call scary but not entirely cheesy. Besides, if you're taking a lot of nobz you're probably not bringing many boyz, so you'll be outnumbered. Now, outfitting every one of those Nobz with unique wargear for wound allocation shenanigans is kinda gaming the rules, but it's acceptable as long as you aren't going crazy with it.
I don't think boarding planks and wrecking balls are allowed on battlewagons, but if they are I never ever take them. With battlewagons, the best way to outfit them is with 1-2 big shootas, armor plates, and a deffrolla. Grot riggers is comically cheap for a good upgrade too.

K, kool. I like the look of the boarding plank as the replacement door and will keep it, just not use it as a boarding plank.
Right now I only have 1 Battlewagon and 6 Trukks ATM, but I really like the wrecking ball if I am reading it right. "Get within 2 inches of an enemy and the unit takes a strength 9 hit". Is that to everyone in the squad or just one poor soul about to get bashed into the ground liek a tent stake?

Just one poor sod, I'm afraid! I've heard great stories about people detaching their Chaos Lords or what have you, only to get ID'd by a stray wrecking ball though! I don't like taking upgrades like that on trukks since they die so fast, but if you're taking fun upgrades like those I don't think you need to worry about being cheesy.

The Battlewagon is the only ork vehicle that has all the vehicle upgrade options. So yeah, you can use boarding planks and wrecking balls to your heart's content.
Oh, and that str 9 hit is only for a single model

5x nobz in battlewagons is actually quite a bad list. If you're having fun with it, go for it and field whatever you like. A well-rounded battlewagon list with boyz, burnaz and lootaz is way more powerful than than all nobz, and you can't even call that cheese.
As for the modeling aspect: May battlewagons all have two planks and a wrecking ball for decoration, it makes them look much more orky. I wouldn't spend the 10 points on a wrecking ball though, it tends to not kill anything important other than vehicles. For vehicles, you are much better off with a grabbin' klaw and a boarding plank.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

You don't really need a wrecking ball when you have a vastly superior deffrolla anyway. I mulched a Land Raider with mine last game.

Hah, last game we had a city of death style battlefield, with a highway diagonally across the board. From turn 3-5 my four battlewagons drove down that highway side by side, crushing a unit of terminators, two units of tactical marines, one unit of plague marines and a rhino with nothing but their deff rollas. Nothing beats spiky steam rollers.
