I know that feeling, my blog is practically deserted, and I still need to find some time to continue painting...
Anyways, the blue is amazing, the highlights are very neat and crisp
I also like your carapace work, can't go wrong with classical feathering

Interesting that you used oils. Do you mean enamels or actual oil paint? Oils were the medium of choice for serious big model painters back in the day (1970s).
I like the magnetized head. I just build my Trygons with a generic adapted "counts as anything" head.

Thanks for the comments, guys.
I'm glad to hear that my highlighting is getting better.
I'm uncertain, Kil. I assume they're oil because the product is 'Winton Oil Colour' with pure linseed oil as the medium.
I used oil paint because it stays relatively solid [well, very viscous to say the least] when I thin it, meaning it allows for a good amount of control for pressing into the crevices of the carapace. I don't have any offrun or drip from the oil based paint, something I was having difficulty with when I tried to use scorched brown mixerd with chaos black.

Linseed oil is for real oil paint as used by Van Gogh etc.
Enamel paints are thinned with white spirit or turpentine.

Well, it has linseed oil as it says on the back of the container, but I'm using white spirits to thin it
