Not right now. Tau struggle against most armies in 5th. They do however do well against Grey Knights, which is a large portion of the meta atm. So if you know you will play lots of gk then Tau might be an ok choice. I'm not saying you can't win with Tau, it is just very difficult. You may want to wait until they get a new codex.
