Hey fellas, I live in Hamden, CT and am looking for some local folks to play casual 40k. I have a table, scenery, rules, etc etc. My roommate also plays the hobby (CSM and soon to be necrons). Drop me a PM and thread if interested!

Hey. I've been looking for places/people to play with, I currently have a small Tau army (I plan on changing to chaos) I've been collecting since I was about 7, although I don't really know how to play (Never had the chance to actually put time into learning, I know the basics, but not that much else). It'd be more of a learning experience. I have another friend, who collects SM, who I could also get to play. I live in Bristol (Not very local, unfortunately), but it would probably be worth it to play every once in a while.

Hey man, thanks for the reply. Fortunately between my roommate and I we have several years of warhammer under our belts. If learning the game is an interest of you and friends then we should definitely schedule a game. I have a board, terrain, rules stuff, etc. I play Blood Angels and Tyranids. Best way to learn the game, both the rules and your armies, is to simply play the game and find out what works well and what your style is. Tau is a good army and CSM are still very competitive even though they have a somewhat dated codex. My roommate plays CSM and he has extensive knowledge of them, as do I since I have fought them for years lol.

No problem, yeah we'll have to. I started to collect Blood Angels, but at the time I didn't have a job, so I just gave what I had to my friend to bolster his army for his birthday.
I'de definitely like to learn how to play, I just need to start purchasing some models. I'm trying to find some that I can buy off someone, but if that doesn't work, I'll just make my own. In that perspective, It might not be for a little while. Although, I'll probably order the battleforce in a few days and get to building.

Ahh too bad, I had a large 3000 point ork army I recently sold on ebay, would have offered a deal to help you out with an army. I have two armies, so if not fielding an army is an issue you could borrow my tyranids or blood angels. It's up to you. Hit me up any time when you want to schedule a game, I'm always down for a round.

That would be cool, it'd be nice to play. Also, what do you think of the apocalypse expansion? I was looking at that, and it looked pretty nice. I'm not a big fan of limited armies, but I could see how confusing it would get with massive armies on the field.

Hey man sorry about the late response. I should be around this weekend if you and/or your friend are interested in scheduling a game. Drop me a PM and we can exchange details!
As far as apoc goes, I've never played it nor do I know anyone who does play it. I don't even know much of the rules for it. Seems cool but kind of gimmicky. Especially expensive due to the add army builds you can bring.
