Yeah...hello people from DakkaDakka, I haven't really been on this Forum in a while, but in the meantime, I had made my own Fan Made Codex, with my very own Fan Made army, the Virions.

Note that they are based upon various alien species from various sci-fi settings, so don't get too alarmed if things start to feel familiar.

Here is a link to where you can read it (WARNING, has no pictures at all, for now):

I'd love to hear some opinions and feedback for it

I think you meant to put this in proposed rules? That's where the other Fandex stuff ends up anyways.

I'll give it a read through in a bit and let you know what I think

Im not sure what to make of this codex. I think what the most important thing that you have to do when writing a Codex is asking yourself "What hole does this Army fill?" both fluff wise and rule wise. I honestly cant see the hole it fills. You seem to me to be writing Spezs Lizardmen but is seems to be another meq army that has the tech of Tau and Eldar. Also I dont like the Mighty Morphing powerrangers vehicles. Overall it is a good start but what I would do is to make the fact that they are in the Halo Zone mean something like they are in a part of the unexplored space that mysteriously has no warp presence, possibly because of a large concentration Necron Tomb Worlds in the area, so they are vulnerable to sorcery. If you want to have psykers than perhaps they dont use the warp for their abilities instead they could call upon the natural forces of nature or have some sort of shamanistic magic. Also you should differentiate them from Meq with maybe lower armor or str or something. Good First Draft though, keep it up.

Quoted from "The Defenestrator":
"Yes, I don't buy into the goody goody image the Tau PR machine has churned out . They're all dirty cold-blooded space-communists if you ask me! Besides, their shiny, selfless "we love everyone for the Greater Good" vibe is so unfitting for the "lulz we're all badass jerks" future of 40k. GW needs to play up their cold, calculating, "join us or die, and probably still die anyway" Borg-y style. That's just me of course."

Well, you see...I was gonna keep it a secret until later but...the Warp hardly reaches into the Halo Zone, just like the Astronomican of the Emperor, but once you reach into this part of the Galaxy which lacks both (or simply has it in tiny quantities), then you will encounter planets with Xenofacts, who radiate a weird form of energy that could only be detected by Pschics.

Virion Warseers draw their power from the Spiritual Realms, nobody knows what it is for sure, just that it's a celestial plain, a peaceful version of the Warp (like it used to be before the Chaos Gods arrived).

The Morphing part is simply a way to make Vehicles highly versatile and flexible, a two for one deal if you wish. If you don't like it, OK you have a right for your own opinion.

Trust me, there is a reason I added plenty stuff, I just prefer to keep it to myself for various reasons

Oh, and in case you guys are interested, I made a few drawings:

I just think that morphing vehicles could turn out to be OP or there could be rules issues. For example can morphing fix Weapons and Immobilized results? I think that it would have to be fairly expensive to have the morphing policy. It isnt a bad idea I just think that it will be hard to execute, especially when there is no precedent.

Well, I guess I'd have to throw in a FAQ later, no Morphing does not fix Immobilized and Weapon Destroyed results, nor can they Morph while either of these 2 effect the Vehicle.
