I was wondering if anyone had any tutorials on how to convert mordians. My first pick would cadians as base models because they are plastic. I havent worked with Greenstuff allot but Im passable with clay and other molding materials so I think that with some practice Ill be pretty well off. I was thinking that I could cut off the helmets top and GS the hats on. Then my big problem would be how to create the dress uniform over the armor. Does anyone have any suggestions for a GS noob? Thanks in advance.

Quoted from "The Defenestrator":
"Yes, I don't buy into the goody goody image the Tau PR machine has churned out . They're all dirty cold-blooded space-communists if you ask me! Besides, their shiny, selfless "we love everyone for the Greater Good" vibe is so unfitting for the "lulz we're all badass jerks" future of 40k. GW needs to play up their cold, calculating, "join us or die, and probably still die anyway" Borg-y style. That's just me of course."

Altanis wrote Vindicare. Hes like Santa he watches when your sleeping. He knows when your awake. I doesn't matter if youve been bad or good because the inquisition put a hit out on you and a shield breaker round is gonna go through your head when your eating your weaties.

I don't have a tutorial nor have I attempted this particular conversion but I suspect it may be more trouble than its worth both in effort and money.

Basically, the legs aren't too difficult and you'd just have to get rid of the extra folds and cargo pants pockets on cadian legs since mordian ones don't have pockets. The arms also don't look too bad but you'd have to file down the should pad armor plate to convert it to an epaulette. The chest is where you'd run into the biggest problem as the current mordian line from 2nd edition has multiple braids and awards but not visible flak armor on the torso. The cadian command box gives you two possible chests you could use (7 as is and 9 with some added decoration) as well as a single head with a plastic peaked hat (33) since mordians don't wear helmets either. You'd either have to sculpt something similar on your own or buy up alot from various online bits stores to get a proper sized force. Creed actually makes for a nice mordian commander since he doesn't have the typical cadian armor; if you do end up using the officer bits listed above for your rank and file, he may be a good choice for the army commander since he's a different pose/model. Hope that helps!

This blogger apparently went through trouble of turning cadians to praetorians (which are effectively mordians with a head swap)... that's alot of greenstuffing!

I would root around for a good headswap, that will reduce the greenstuffing needed. Other than that you'll need to shave off the shoulderpads and replace them with greenstuff epaulettes(?)

You'll probably want to go with the tank crew torso too, so it may end up pretty costly.
