Ok so I finally got all the points I need(kind of) for my Necrons...Woot!! Now I started a BA army wanted to switch up and give SM a chance...I initially swore them off as everyone at my local GS plays them. But since diving into the BL I really like the BA lore/fluff and have gone ahead and started an army ! Now I have 500pts with 2x squads of death company marines and commander Dante but I am really trying to decide where I should go from here. I was at one point going to go all jump troops and throw in some Dreadnaughts and Baal Predators but now I don't know. I kind of want to go a little different and make them more to be like the French Foreign Legion style tough as nails elitest types but small indiviual strike forces. Not real sure how to make this happen any and all advice/criticism(yes I know I will get both) is welcome.

First you should use the Death Company as Assault Squads, since Death Company are really difficult to use in the game.

Second, decide if you want a Jump Pack Army, or a Mech army.

If Jump Packs, go with lots of assault marines, and maybe an assault Terminator Squad with thunderhammers and stormshields.

If mech, get a few razorbacks, a Baal predator, a regular predator, and grow your army from there.

I don't know if it will be effective, but I'm looking forward to fielding my hybrid bio-mech BA army...

4 predators, 2 vindicators, backed up by a librarian, a pair of priests, and 30 jump marines to deal with things that threaten my armor.

Thanks for the help now a quick question cause I do like the assault termies so what do y'all think about using GK termies as the assault termies and saying they were given glaives by the sanguinary guard for weapons. Is that a viable fluff or way off world? I did notice that there is some love for the Baal Predator ..what's your opinion on the Furioso Dreadnaught? I may go away from jump and use drop pods for my BA assault marines. Thanks and still open to more ideas.

Furioso Dreadnoughts are great, although many people (myself included) tend to think that the Librarian Dreadnought is a bit expensive for what it does.

Baal Predators are honestly nothing special. If they were in heavy support, you wouldn't see them as often. They're damn good, but it's mostly because you get a 'fast' predator with a scout move in a fast attack slot.

Definitely, under no circumstances, should you take BA assault marines in a Drop Pod. Even though the Drop Pod is free, you can use the Descent of Angels special rule without it. Deep-striking your basic troops is more accurate than using a Drop Pod. Plus, if you keep the JP, you have the super-mobility after you drop in.

I would load up on Assault Marines and magnetize their JP. That way, you can get a few Predators/Razorbacks and switch between a DoA and Mechanized list.

If you are going to take Dante anyway, then you should take some Sanguinary Guard because those guys belong together. A lot of people don't like Sanguinary Guard, but they are actually excellent value considering all the power weapons and jump packs they get. Plus Angelus/Storm-bolters, fearless, 2+ save. Point for point they're probably cheaper than Assault Squads. Plus Dante makes them awesome.

You could (if you wanted) give them all Infernos pistols, and with Dante in the squad they deep strike without scattering. So you can drop next to anything, then put 6 melta shots on in. Throw in a chapter banner and they will literally go through MEQs like a hot knife through butter. They even have a good shot a wiping out Assault Termies before they have a chance to swing back, since they bring like 20 power weapon Attacks on the charge, with re-rolls to hit. Dante also gives them hit and run when he is in the squad, so they don't get tied up in CC when there are better targets (or they can just break off and charge the same target again). And he makes them scoring units too.

Thanks I really like the look of the Sanguinary Guard so that definately helps with my build. So I decided on Assault Marines and since I like the look of the death company marines better I will just use them as assualt marines and give them JP and mix them up with ground assualt in a couple of razorbacks and throw in a couple of Baal Predetors and then build my Sanguinary Guard to fly with Dante which really bolsters my DoA which after reading up on it is f'ing awesome !! I have decided to build at least on Furioso Dreadnaught just to give it a whirl in battle and see how it plays. Thanks all for the advice.
