Today I was debating buying Brink and Bulletstorm, but im kind of stuck on whether or not to get either.
The reason i was considering the both of them is that theyre different, and different from the ordinary FPS I so long ago got bored of. However, before I buy either, I want to know, are they worth it?
In terms of gameplay?
In terms of length?
Multiplayer?
Anything else i should know?
Theyre both damn cheap right now, but id rather not buy something that id play for an hour and never pick up again.

I only bothered with the Demo of Bulletstorm, but I had fun with the fact that it was absolutely different than anything I had seen before.

Bulletstorm is better IMO....
Multiplayer on it was lacking, but so was multiplayer on Brink....

Brink was heartbreaking for me. I waited for that game for 2 years, ate up all that hype, and was disappointed in the end.
Brink was fun, it just wasn't as crazy revolutionary as they were pushing it (and they were pushing that like level 3 Unrelenting Force) IMO I'd prolly go for bulletstorm just because Brink was a multiplayer game. Even the singleplayer was just multiplayer with bots. And I just don't think enough people (outside of PC playing) are still around on Brink. Bulletstorm had (what looked like) a really fun singleplayer campaign. Brink was only fun on Multiplayer with two full teams of 8 human players.

Ah, Brink. I wanted it to be so, so good. What I got was so, so meh.

Then there are those who drag themselves further. I find that admirable. |

Yeah, brink was, how you say, a disappointment of vast proportions. If bullet storm has anything approaching a decent single player campaign, then it's leagues ahead of brink. Brink has crap single player (if you can call it that), and crap and slowly dying if not dead multiplayer.

I didn't care for bulletstorm.
It’s a game whose gimick would only really keep an adolescent interested. But is still rated M
"Hur I shot that dude in his penis, hur."
Don't think that there is any replay value in bulletstorm either as it is extremely linear.

I found Bulletstorm to be a lot of fun, myself. Lots of skill shots to figure out, lots of different ways to kill enemies in creative ways. Brink was disappointing as all hell, though.

I;ve played Bulletstorm on oddball missions and its a riot when you've got your mates about, but I can tell it's one of those games that would be more fun with mates.
As for Brink; after the many comparisons of it being a horrible redo of TF2 I didn't touch it

Brink was the better of the two, for its character customization. Even if it was male-only, because apparently humans in Brink are a one-gender race of only men.

The real reason they were fighting is because of the lack of women on the Ark.

Bullet Storm was the better game imo. Its pretty much what Duke Nukem Forever tried to be, which is what shooters of yon golden years were, a hell of a good time while being fairly comedic and batcrap crazy at the same time.
Also Bullet Storm teaches you how to properly insult people
The only drawback is all.... the..... damn..... quick time events..... they still give me nightmares at times
Finally tried Brink and its...... meh at best.

Lack of women, and lack of anything interesting to fight over..................

The points system in bulletstorm wore out on me rather quickly-- the system wasn't good for it, like the old fragfests were. The objectives based games of brink matched its gameplay better...

Bulletstorm was pretty cool, the fact that I traded in Brink for it should say a lot.
