Hi, Dakka. Now, how would I convert Catachan into Renegade Guard? I was thinking about using the VC Zombie Horde. So, how do you think I would do this?

From which sets? Would the zombies also work?

I think a mix of Cadians and Catachans would work best, as well as chaos-y bitz like the possessed, or spawn maybe. Zombies would also work well.
Could you specify how renegade these renegades are?
Are they just traitor guard, in which case Cadians with some rust/boils/burn marks on the armour, and then spikes and chains would suffice. Or are they full on plague-ridden-lasgun-toting-renegades, then I'd use flagellent, zombie, marauder bitz as well as quite a bit of gs.

If they're just normal IG who've gone renegade, they'd still have their old uniforms and equipment until it wears out (possibly ripping off insignia and replacing it with painted symbols or whatever. Only if they actively embrace chaos - which sounds like you want - would they start throwing away stuff and replacing it with chaotic equivalents when available. So the look depends on your army fluff - how long ago did they turn to chaos, are they being physically mutated, how are they now resupplying themsleves, etc?
