Diety damn it, I refuse to believe that it's true... I just got a copy of my WD subscription on the same day that it's due out in the stores... that's like an entire week early based on recent trends...

Anyone else received a copy before they were expecting it? Could it be that GW have listened to the fans and sorted the delivery date problem, or is it a one off fluke?

Incidentally, it's a really good issue with apoc formations for GK, SoB, and DE. There's a mini campaign written for crons vs BT (this is first time I've seen BT in WD for a while now, could this be a sign that links in to the BT rumour thread hinting at their coming soon?", 'eavy metal painting gallery, and a interesting looking article by John Blanche and one or two others.

Oh, and a Dreadfleet campaign booklet.

New releases include Beastmen, which are I believe on pre-order one the GW site now, and a WHFB expansion called Blood In The Badlands.

definitely doesn't hurt their chances for an update.

Aye, a good issue from them that wasn't too much like a massive catalogue. Some good stuff in there, particularly the Apoc formations. Wall of fir is interesting, though it's a bit complicated compared to some other things.

Some decent painting articles for the Skullvane Manse and the Thundertusk too. The former inspired me to dig out my partially completed Dreadstone Blight and put a bit more paint on it last night.

Anyway, a definite improvement from last month's BUY NECRONS! edition.

The SoM Battle Report conclusion amused me where they implied that the Cygor was useless (it didn't have a good game, put it that way!).

Manager at my local GW has told me that subscribers (in the UK) will have WD sent out on the thursday before the saturday release from now on. So it should arrive on the saturday or monday at the latest.

What's the painting article in this one like? Looked pretty decent from the preview.

Yes, it was weird I was just telling my mother about how we get it a week later than the shops now and then thud, it landed on the door mat. Really good issue actually, feels a lot more like it used to, not quite there yet, but a vast improvement so far! Excited if this is the way it's heading...

It's nice to see people responding positively to even a minor or one-off change, rather than just 'hating' for the sake of it...

"It is the great irony of the Legiones Astartes: engineered to kill to achieve a victory of peace that they can then be no part of."

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

Agreed, however the haters will continue to hate no matter what GW does. Without it they wouldn't have any material to post about.

LOL,

The irony here is so obvious that its obvious. Well played, sir.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

And without the haters the fanboys wouldn't have anything to say other than "Nice!" or "I like it!".

I think I find that comment to be funnier than it should be. And I can't stop trying to picture it in my head now...
