So I'm putting together an evil sunz army which will be focused on mobility and precision strikes. I'm toying with the idea of adding a Deff Dread in the army so that I've got something that can stand up to land raiders.

2 Questions:
1) How would you integrate a Deff Dread into a highly mobile army? What tactics would you use, and what units would you have accompany the Deff Dread?
2) Any other suggestions besides Deff Dreads to take care of land raiders?

Deff Dreads are not really a great counter to Land Raiders. The Land Raider can move 12" and the Dread hits it on 6's.

However, a Battlewagon with a Deff-rolla is a very good (and fluffy) counter to Land Radiers.

You get D6 S10 attacks that Automatically hit. Also, you can pop that tank before the assault phase, so your Boys and Nobs can then assault the same turn.

Real simple answer: Not at all. One of the most basic rules you have to obey to build a working ork army is never mix slow units with fast units. A deff dread is great support for a footslogging army, but nothing but a slow metal hunk in a mobile army.

In fast army, your warboss, a battlewagon or tankbustas in a transport will probably be your best bet. If you ever get the chance to catch it with your warboss while you are hitting on 4+, go for it. However, you will be much better off if you try to outplay the landraider and prevent it from being useful by dodging it. It's not like the landraider going to kill its worth in orks with those few weapons it has.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.
