Hello, fellow Dakkanauts,

I've been pondering over an army type that I want to play and I finally pick DC. Granted, it's not competitive, but I don't really aim for competitive lists.

This is my list so far, and I would appreciate any suggestions to improve this. My main concern is AT:

HQ:
Reclusiarch (Basic) 130pts

Troops:
DC Dreadnought with Blood Talons 125pts
10 DC with 1 PF and 2 Hand Flamers

Before you say anything about objectives, I'm using the Wipeout! rule as my base for objective based missions.

its looks like a fun list, if you can take astorath you can run 2 squads of 5 DC instead of 1 large squad of DC

if you make 2 squads of 5 you can take another fist in the other squad, it may even push the list to 750 pts if you want to do that

Why run two smaller squads rather than one big one? Sure they'd be more flexible, but that just sounds like giving the enemy two easier kill-points instead of one tough one.

I'm curious. Are Jump Packs just a waste of points? If I halve the amount of DC I can get Jump Packs, a Thunder Hammer and an Infernus Pistol.

I don't play SM often, but when I do, I NEED at least one squad with jump packs, moving the extra 6" per turn is really good for close-combat troops.

Just thought that 7 models would be a bit minor, when you probably get 30 Ork Boyz and a Battlewagon for the same points cost.
