If i modified the new Beastmen Ghorgon into a Bloodthirster, due to the size difference of the two models, would this be a legal model i could use in tournaments?

Edit. Nevermind, misread the question.

This would most likely fall under "the rule of cool", however I don't play in tournaments, so I could be wrong.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

I don't see why not. Bigger is usually a disadvantage so you're probably just hurting yourself. Which is a good sign of a true hobbyist!

How long is a piece of string?

There is no single, defined set of universal tournament rules. How flexible a tournament is on conversions or stand-in models is entirely up to the organiser of that specific tournament.

As a general rule, you would probably be fine ... but you would only get an answer that actually means anything by contacting the organiser or judge of any event you're looking to enter.

If its made of 80% GW stuff and is on the same size base, then I'd say yes.

There's really no way using a bigger model is going to benefit you, so I can't see anyone having a problem with it. It was my first thought when I saw that thing, too

If you can get it to fit onto the same size base as a Bloodthirster I wouldn't mind. Just be careful since it will have the disadvantage of being much larger than the standard Bloodthirster. If it is for a 40K tournament, since there are no rules for a Ghorgon I don't see any problem using it as such.
