I think at 1500pts its a fairly small list, i think your wasting to many points on the storm ravens and your better off taking drop pods for your dreadnoughts and maybe a land raider full of Terminators and use the land raider as cover for mephiston.

I would put Plasma Cannons on the Stormraven instead and I'm not a fan of Mephiston, I go with a Reclusiarch or Librarian. Maybe some Sanguinary Priests?

you might want to consider going with death company in this list. it would be more effective and still have just about the same number of models deployed

but still keeping with the theme...id figure out a way to squeeze in a unit of termies and a priest. putting in a 5 man assault squad in a raven is just a waste. your gimping yourself on the assault output that a raven can dish out. if your wanting to put assault marines inside you could at least remove the jump packs so you can fit more in there and not have to rely on the dread for clean up. if done correctly you should be able to deal with 2 separate units when assaulting out of a raven. also if this is done you can save some points by dropping the hurricane bolters, they are nice but not at this point lvl when the points could be better used else where.

as for the razor backs, you can see them being easily targeted in objective games. i would just go with a full 10 man assault squad with jp and dual melta with pf for sgt. you still get your 2 objective grabbers and wont be hurting if the now non-existent razorback were to be popped.

a regular libby would also be a better choice as you will really need shield to give your ravens cover save when your stuff inside bails out. the raven is too expensive to think of as a suicide unit after its delivered its pay load. also you can use the second power as unleash rage which would work wonders in a termie unit.

I don't really agree with many of the suggestions given here. I've been playing a 2 StormRaven list (and won many tournaments) since way before there was a kit for them.

The Stormravens... I think you are wasting points on the Hurricane Bolters. They are way to expensive for what they give you. Basic troops should not be a problem for this list, and because of the way the SR is configured, you will rarely get more then 1 side shooting. However, I almost always take Extra Armor. You want them moving EVERY turn, however with 2 of them, Extra Armor is not critical, but better then Hurricane Bolters.

I would drop the grapple hook from the Dreads, I play tested it many times and never found it to be of any value, and I ALWAYS run my Dreads with Blood Talons. You really shouldn't need the anti-tank at 1500 (2 SR, 2 Razorbacks, 2 melta's from Dreads, and Mephiston in a pinch should be more then enough... I don't have too much more at 2000pts) and having one assault out of a SR is very scary for just about anything.

I would consider dropping the Melta and PF from the assault squad. If you're playing the StormRavens properly they should just be sitting back, holding objectives and opening up enemy transports. They should never be in Melta range.

And I do agree with the guy that said the assault squad in the SR is a waste... they simply have no hitting power. With all the points you have saved (15 points from each StormRaven by switching Hurricanes to Extra Armor, Grapple hooks from the Dreads, and melta-PF from assault squads) you have 105 points to spend on the squad inside the second StormRaven. add the 135 you already spent, and you have 240 points. I would go with a squad of Assault Termies, or a squad of Death Company, and then switch one of the dreads to a Death Company Dread. (Note, there are few things in the game scarier then a Death Company Dread with Blood Talons assaulting out of a StormRaven... 12" move, 5" deploy due to base size, FLEET, 6" assault)

A few comments about some other advise I disagree with. If you're playing the StormRavens properly you don't need Shield of Sangunius. You should always be getting a 4+ from moving, unless it's the turn you're assulting out. by the time you've assaulted out, it's done its job and losing it is not game changing. And it might seem like you're light on scoring units with only 2, but again, all the action is happening in the face of your opponent, so few shots will come down field to the Razorbacks, and you need the razorbacks to open up transports to give your assaulting units soft bodies to assault.

I would NEVER choose Drop Pods over a StormRaven for Dreadnoughts. Drop Pods just allow your opponent to blow them up with melta guns before they do anything useful. I have never used Plasma Cannons on one, I have always used them with Assault Cannon, Multi-Melta, and have always felt that was the optimal configuration.

This is a fast, aggressive, fun list. If you're not a super-aggressive player (I mean aggressive, not competitive) that likes being in your oppenents face all game, then this is not the list for you. However, if sitting back and shooting from your 'parking lot' is about as much fun for you as watching paint dry (like it is for me) then you'll have a lot of fun... just remember that with this list when it doubt, move forward as fast as possible, and when you see Grey Knights across the table (assuming they have 3 psyfileman dreads and magic grenades like everybody does) you'll die a horrible death.

Thanks sinjin, i already tried a list similar to the yours (stormravens with DC) but the main issue is that i will only get 2 troops for the objectives.

BTW you are worng against grey knights: today i moved my stormravens only 6" and unleshed their fury against a 10 Terminators leaving only the QG wounded, after 3 turns i killed every single enemy unit and lost only a stormraven (yes, they had tons of pscannon, but they failed), also hurricanes have been quite useful
