on the forum. Obviously

Would it be worth giving a Slaan the book of Ashur as well as the extra power dice discipline?

it could work, but it seems like overkill.

As a general rule, any magic item over 50 points is most likely not worth it in any situation. it usually leaves you vulnerable in other areas for very little return.

That said, Slann don't need magic equipment as much as other characters(natural 4+ ward and the ability to hide in Temple Guard) so the item could work.

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

But if you buy the book, how will you afford the Wizarding Hat on your Slann?

Just kidding. I think there's better expenditures of points on a Slann anyway. Rumination is a much better offensive boost, cheaper, and doesn't eat into your magic allowance *or* take an arcane slot.

That being said, I fully support experimentation with builds outside the "Internet standard".

On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”
