So I finally got this MEGA-AWESOME kit: The Venerable Dreadnought.. I love him, I've always wanted him for my marines.. now I have got him
so I am goign to try to show the entire painting process I do for the most of my fists of calth (ultra's) units vehicle and infantry alike..

so first up:

I spraypainted the entire dread and his primary weapon (I also made a small conversion, a cookie for the guy(or girl) who spots it first) blue and the metal parts on the legs weer done with boltgun metal, next I gave him a badab black wash..







next up is a brown base for the gold areas and the painting of the regal blue armour..

So next up is the browna areas for the gold, done with a scorched brown. And he blue areas, done with regal blue. I painted in a way that the washed parts, the deeper parts of the armour stayed almost lack, to creat some depth and personality to the mini..
not that the banners are a little bit lighter painted, wich is normal for a tissue, the light shines through it on the other side.. wich makes it look a little lighter..





I also started on the head.. it will need a lot more very thin white coats befor is tart shading and building the white back up.. don't mind the other heads just some gk paladins



I immediately took a shot at the gold areas.. they need a wash to look older and more ancient.. that's for next time..
oh yes i also painted the base grey.. too match the the rest of my army..






the left arm goes through another process so you might notice he isn't always there

looking real good! Very intrested now how it's going to look once it's finished!

so Update: i finished the golden parts and started working on the base: i sanded it
i also worked on the blade end of the assault canonn and it turned out rather good imo..
the helmet also stepped up a bit: working on the shade areas and what not.

now the inportant part: the fist, white (very hard to do good) but i have some expirience wtih white so i think i can take the challenge.. time will tell








its not very clear but i painted already the red of the eyes and i am building up a clean white colour.
