So in a case were a templar player (me) is playing say two crusdaers carrying my enitre army is it justifiable grounds for a guard player to deploy a baneblade in combat?

Wow, that guy seems like a jerk trying to sneak in apoc units in a game? Well, if it is a apoc game its okay to have a baneblade, but if its a regular game, tell him to get out.

Just ask your opponent to show you where in his Imp Guard codex the Baneblade is listed with points. If he can't that means he's using an illegal unit for the game.

Yeah, I don't think Baneblades can be used in a regular game. Although, if you both agree, then I guess it is alright, as long as he uses the cost listed in the Apoc rulebook.

And remember that a Baneblade takes up a whole force org chart by itself.

This only applied to the (now defunct) Imperial Armour rules for superheavy vehicles. There is no such rule any more - they are all Apocalypse-only choices.

However, there are specific scenarios that may allow superheavy vehicles in a regular game, such as the Spearhead expansion and two of the missions in the Battle Missions book.

If he can find what slot the Baneblade occupies in the Force Org Chart, in his IG codex, then he can use one.

Hint: the Baneblade is not in the IG Codex.
