So This is what I was considering as an Army
Imotekh
Royal Court
-(2x) Cryptek w/ Harbinger of Destruction
-Cyrptek w/ Harbinger of Destruction & Solar Pulse
-Necron Lord w/ Res Orb
20 Necron Warriors
20 Necron Warriors
9 Necron Warriors
-Ghost Ark
9 Necron Warriors
-Ghost Ark
10 Scarab Swarms
9 Scarab Swarms
9 Scarab Swarms
Annihilation Barge
-Gauss Cannon
Annihilation Barge
-Gauss Cannon
If my math is correct then this list should fall just short of the 2000pt mark. The basic idea behind this army is one squad of warriors with the lord attached is out in front, spaced out to minimize the effect of templates. Behind them is the rest of your army, in a line behind the lead warriors is the larger squad of Scarabs, centered behind them is the other 20 man unit with stormy and a cryptek, the ghost arks filled with 9 warriors and a cryptek flank the rear warriors, while the Barges flank each side in front of the other two units of scarabs.
Basically the idea is that the Warriors in front either absorb the majority of the fire, (and hopeful weather it with there 4+ RP rolls, and the Ghost Arks replenishing the ranks) or they grant everything behind them (including the all important scarabs) cover. The idea is to give the whole army cover against shooting while dealing out the hurt yourself. If troops assault your front line since lords aren't fearless they will probably get sweeping advanced, allowing you to counter assault with your scarabs after properly bringing your Gauss flayers to bear. Flanks are defended by the barges and scarabs as a tar pit/counter assault.
Three major weakness with this I can see are:
1) AV 14. With the highest strength weapon in the army 8, av 14 really cannot be destroyed easily, except by the scarabs.
2)Templates.Since most of your troops are close together, templates are very dangerous, though most of your arm will still get cover unless its flamers or barrage.
3)Its slow. Since your moving at the speed of normal foot troops, faster armies could easily out maneuver it.
This is in no way me saying that this is the greatest army since sliced bread, this is just me trying to come up with various shenanigans and synergys that can be used with the new codex

I used a pretty similar list in a tournament setting today and it worked very well. Imo the stormlord is not that good and I went with two cryps with solar pulses.
The cryps in ghost arks with lances went great although I did fine with just 5 man squads.
In you big units if you dont have relentless your in trouble so very good call to take stormy or a Phaeron OL. Also Imo mindschakle scarabs are mandatory as they dominated. I was charged by a max unit of striking scorpions and charged a unit of death company and held out in both with only a 15 man unit with my OL and a lord both having scarabs.
I would also consider dropping the second 20 warrior squad for tesla toting immortals. I had 6 in my list and in the first game deployed poorly with them so they didnt do anything but camp an objective but in the second they dominated and more than made their points up. Math hammerbe damned but they work great! Ditto for the barges.

Thanks for the input, yeah the Phaeron rule was what really sold me on Stormy, I have used Zandrekh in previous games to give units his various USR, as well as take some away. I haven't tried out the new immortals, since they didn't really stick out to me with there identical range and stat line, the only thing that they really brought to the table is a better save and a str 5 gun, I probably should test them out, as these things are probably worth the extra 5 points or so.(*I don't have the codex in front of me, so don't castrate me if I'm wrong on any of these numbers)
I was considering dropping the barges in exchange for a lord with a scythe and a CCB, he could fly around slashing at high priority targets and popping armor that my ranged can't, he also allows me access to another court so I can have another pulse and I can double up on lances in units since it only say one member from each Royal Court can join a unit, But if I have two....(cue evil laughter)
One final question, did you have two OL in your army or can you take two pulses with one OL.

I had two OL in order to get the dual pulses. One OL in a phalanx unit and the other in a CCB flying around doing what you just suggested....he dominated. In one game he wrecked two wave serpents, a falcon, and then killed a farseer all with his swooping attack. It is great because it is not affected by cover or any other modifiers.

If I could just say that I like the look but really I would involve some Immortals in that list somewhere. Just for the simple fact that yes the numbers are smaller they are just nasty for fire support behind your warriors. Give it a look. I also would go for Nemesor and his Varguard.
