If i hit a vehicle/Unit with a shot from the Triarch Stalker And then shoot that unit with the Doomscythes's Death Ray, do i reroll to Wound/Pen or do i reroll the 3D6 for distance or..?

Hhhmm, this is an interesting question. For some reason I dont believee you actually even get a re-roll. Because it states that its a re-roll to hit, and I'm pretty sure that Death Ray auto-hits.

You get no benefit. It doesn't roll to hit and isn't a template weapon.

Typically, area effect weapons do not have a roll to hit. Templates don't. Blasts don't (though they can scatter), and Jaws of the World Wolf (which this most closely resembles) doesn't either.

What the heck we're supposed to do with the "twin-linked" rule on this weapon is a mystery.

Yes, im a little disapointed because by the time its close enough to work, I want it to work, doesnt that make sense? I mean if i magically manage to catch 2 tanks under it and like snake eyes or something i just waste 175 Points because theres no way anyone will ignore that and an av 11 all around vehicle isnt exactly gonna last

"Magically" catch two tanks? YOu've not seen the guard / GK parking lots we have then

Twin linking lets you reroll your auto hitting weapon, so has no effect.

At 1500 - 1750 we're seeing (GK) 9 AV11 hulls and 3 - 5 walkers, none of which can move more than 6" and still fire anything. Doomscythes are VERY useful against these armies, as these armies dont take well to being put in reserve en masse - take imotekh so even if you dont go 1st he has to assume you will be going first and deploy accordingly.

The fact you can hit, very easily, 4 tanks when in a parking lot (angle it across the backs, clipping the first one just barely) that are AV11, massivley disrupts the opponents army and their plans. Making them dance to YOUR tune is golden, especially against net listers who dont really know how to play, and cannot alter their battle plans when confronted by a new situation. (Did that to a net lister at a tourney a few weeks ago - they couldnt cope with how different my GK army is (no vehicles) compared to theirs)
