Hi guys.

Im looking for a little bit of help and advice here. Im looking to the future for another army and Chaos has really taken my fancy. I obtained a copy of the codex and, although i read it, im still a bit of a rookie in terms of chaos. My thoughts for an army has definatly included Khorne as an underlying theme. I love the iidea of complete and utter chaos and anarchy in melee. So, i'll definatly be getting Berzerkers and Kharn but and i have an idea of other units i want, but what colour do i paint them? Do i just pick an army and paint them that army colour but just put Khrone Icons with the units?

Sorry for what might appear to be simple questions, im used to the Space Marines Codex spelling everything out

You might want to rename the thread with correct spelling less you enrage the angry red hordes.

Khorne colors are blood red, black and brass.

Khorne is the god of blood. Blood is red. Khorne units are generally painted red by default.

Yeah, so red primarily etc etc. but what unit go well / compliment Berzerkers? maybe a cheap ranged option? i dont know :O

A rhino or Land Raider to start with. Running across a battlefield without and METAL BAWKSES for protection is a bad idea.

Alternatively you could go all out and get a squad of Chosen with an Icon to infiltrate close to the enemy, then summon a gak-load of daemons to tie them up until the Berzerkers get there.

As for the back-up, I think Plague marines are generally used. Obliterators and Noise Marines are also options.

Don't take METAL BAWKSES, just get a full horde of berzerkers and charge them down the field like a mob of ork boyz!

I play for fun, so don't take that advice to seriously

On the contarty Bombboy1252, i do like the idea of flotslogging tonnes of crazy, BLOOY FOR THE BLOOD GOD, warriors. It would be flippin crazy. After all they are marines so they are relitivly tough.

3 Squads of 20 Berzerkers - about 1200pts
Kharn - 165pts
Obliterators (too fill up the points) - 150 points worth maybe?

It would be so much fun!

20 Power armoured psychos, running instead of shooting (They have BP IIRC, so not worth shooting) could be quite formidable, Oblit's standing at the back to provide supporting fire,

"WHO NEEDS METAL BAWKSES FOR PROTECTION! I HAVE THE GUY IN FRONT FOR PROTECTION!!!"

I'd split those 3 20man squads into 6 10man squads, drop 2 of them and take 2 10man squads of Chaos Warriors with whatever upgrades you see fit. The Warriors are no slouches in close combat with them all having a CCW and a Pistol and they add some mid--range fire support for the Berzerkers.

Your list would look like
4 squads of 10 Berzerkers
2 squads of 10 Chaos Warriros
Kharn
Obliterators

Who are these Chaos Warriors you speak of? scanning through the codex and cant find them. (im probably just being an idiot)

Besides, i cant take 6 troop choices, the maximum is 4. Shame really.

Chaos Warriors are unit from Warhammer fantasy, he meant Chaos Space Marine.

You can take 6 troops... you must take 2 (compulsory) but can take 4 more if you want to.

This guy has the right idea about having fun. Do be sure to put Kharne in with your largest squad so he always has someone to kill when you roll ones with his daemon weapon.

Sure it isn't competitive when he rolls 4 1s on the attack and eats almost half a squad, but it is hilarious.

Oh yeah. And you know what the best part about this list is? compared to other lists its cheap £££ wise to buy. Worked it out to be only £115.30.
That would get you:
Kharn
AND
5 Khorne Berzerker squads (12 per box) - that makes 6 10man squads.
