I hope its not too random. The vanguard are going to deep strike and heroic intervention. There might be something saying that you can't put a jump pack independent character with bikes but I didn't see anything that said you couldn't so right now, i'm going to infiltrate my bikes:].

There is nothign that says you can't join bikes with and IC that is wearing a JP. The only rules is you would have to move at the slowest models movement. Which isn't a problem here. Its an interesting idea. My question is do you think it is necessary? I get the idea infiltrate in with meltas ge a early shot on them. I am just not so sure it is going to be worth all the effort. I could be wrong of course.

I might almost infiltrate the terms.

Are you sure you want to put 1/4 of your army into vanguard using heroic intervention? The chance of them deep striking into assault range is very slim since they can't run in the shooting phase. Perhaps playing them on the board and hiding them behind terrain/tanks would be safer.

The ten man squad is combat squading so only 5 guys including the melta and the sarge with the power wep are going in the razor back. The other 5 with the lascannon are going to sit on an objective and shoot.

In your VV squad did you consider taking a Relic blade on your Sgt as opposed to another pw (same points cost)?

I think if raven guard got their own codex they should have a universal rule for ALL of their marines to be able to assault after coming out of a drop pod.

And have special FAST skimmers with half the codex having the hit and run special rule with poisoned weapons.

Since the sarge comes with a power wep i'd rather have another power weapon. I like more armour save ignoring attacks.

Well if you are putting SS on 2 of your guys that drops the 1 attack bonus from having 2 cc weapons. I suppose my argument is put the ss on the sgt and then give him a str 6 weapon that will never allow for that bonus so either way it isn't costing you that attack. But if throwing more attacks that ignore armor is your goal then yeah go with the extra power weapon.

it depends on what army you are playing against. then there is also what models you are attacking. ork boiz, you can kill like......... poof

The rules for landing do not change.

In the expensive squad above Vanguard can offer 26 attacks, orks can handle worse.
