Hey Dakka,

I tought of painting my Tesla Weaponry details (rods, inside of barrels, cabling) with eerie, lively violet color that would match Scorpion Green's and green plastic rod's "liveliness" of my Gauss Weaponry Any ideas which paint to use for best effect? Use a wash? If so, which? Drybrush one violet with another? Any tips will be welcome

Cheers!

If you're mixing purples with reds and blues, lean on the red side. Using light blues like Hawk Turqoiuse might also help.

Also, do you want to do Object Source Lighting with purple? If so, check out the different OSL tutorials aavailable out there that's just a google search away! Good luck.

Not sure if I'm crafty anough for OSB, I still find myself rather mediocre painter relying on good looking yet very simple techniques...
Was looking for some good looking violet paint, something flashy and lively like scorpion green that could be washed with some violet / blue wash and than glossed...

In time I might try OSB, just don't feel good enough as I still have trouble with drybrushing that would satisfy me
