I was thinking if some huge Movie Company made a Warhammer 40k movie. What Movie should it be? Who should be the Actors? How violent should it be? Should it be based off a movie?
By the way I know there is a Warhammer 40k Movie called Ultramarines but that is very bad.

I personally think a Ciaphas Cain movie would be an excellant idea because it doesn't require much background information, it would be filled with comedy and I think it would sell well. It should be M15+ violence not MA15+ violence because it is would have a bigger age demographic. I would prefer good actors but I'm not too fussy about who's acting unless it's someone like Robert Paterson or another Tweeny icon.

I would love to see a Gaunt's Ghosts or Eisenhorn movie...Those would be the most realistic option I think

I'd love to see a Gaunt's Ghosts movie too, but first the GW should sell plastic minis of the Tanith regiment. Like the Cadian and Catachan squads. Because if someone sees that movie, says "nice! I wan't to try those guys on a tabletop!", enters a GW and all he sees is Space Marines and Cadians... that would be dissapointing. Making a movie about an army they don't sell would be quite stupid. But hey, it's GW...

They jumped on to LOTR pretty fast. If there was a Tanith Movie, they'd probably jump on that pretty fast as well.

The Ultramarines movie was fething awful. I bought it on special edition too, just to pitch my support in for it. They need to spend the cash if they want it to work.

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

We are discussing a Major Movie Company making one and what you'd like to be. Not about Ultramarines Movie.

If they made a movie I'd really hope it wasn't all action, that it had more intelligant characters and for it to at least try and show the scale and history of the universe.

I'd love it if they made a horus heresy trilogy

If there were deamons i'd want Stephen Fry to do a nurgle Daemon voice.

We love what we love. Reason does not enter into it. In many ways, unwise love is the truest love. Anyone can love a thing because. That's as easy as putting a penny in your pocket. But to love something despite. To know the flaws and love them too. That is rare and pure and perfect.

Sorry but an all shooting army that usually gets whooped in Close Combat bores me.

Put some depth in it but no too much for the History of it because you don't want to scare the new people. Also, Horrus Heresy would be great but it require alot of movies and a heck of alot of good actors to satisfy the 40k fans.

I'd love to see a Gaunts ghosts movie but I think if it is ever made it should be by a non Hollywood company...as an American I can assure you that the rumors about our movie industry's deficencies are true...

But I don't see that happening...the book series is more than ten years old and still going...

I mean, it took them about fifty years to make a good LOTR movie after it was finished...

I'd like to see it done by a company like Square pictures.
They did the "Final fantasy: Spirits within" movie.

They don't exist any more.
It bombed so badly it bankrupted the company.

A major studio couldn't do a 40k movie without changing so much about the background or characters that it would fail before being screened.

AFAIK, they still haven't made a decent LOTR movie.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

Yes, because people like Henry Fonda, Cary Grant, Lee J. Cobb, Clint Eastwood, Harrison Ford, Samuel L. Jackson, Bill Murray, Jack Nicholson, etc have no talent whatsoever.

Cheesecat. If people know who you are and think more about the actor, the actor is bad. Check a european movie. You usually never heard their name but they are way better then lets say Brad Pitt. Americans go to the movies to see the actors, not the movie. Besides would you want Samuel Jackson going: "Im tired of these mothafucking xeno, in this mothafocking galaxy!"?

Seriously? Most famous US actors are famous for their talent...that's why they're famous (because they seem to do a good job)

You do realize that some movie genres are completely reliant on the actor's talent in order to make the film entertaining, many drama films are like that. And no, many Americans go to different films to see

different things, they go to action movies to see special effects and over the top action, they go to comedies to have a laugh, they go to horror films to get a thrill or to gross themselves out, etc.

Guys, Space Crusader is a serious troll. This definitely ISNT the first thread hes been in where he shouts some ridiculous anti American SOMETHING. Seriously, the dude talks out his ass. Best of all, hes not even American, so Im sure his knowledge of how our country works, is limited to whatever crap is in his head

Oh yea, and to stay OT, Id really like to see the Horus Heresy done, LOTR style. Huge budgets, and spanning over a couple movies. Its so friggin EPIC!

I would prefer just to have great Animations and voice actors, and a better subject matter.

I think it should be 18+ so It wouldn't be restrained.

Gaunts Ghost for the movie.
As for actors. Legolas would have to be in it.
She's hot.

Lot of good suggestions, although for something more eccentric how about a movie about an inquisitor hunting aliens, heretic and daemons being hidden within the Imperium directed by Quentin Tarantino.

Have you played 40K?

Have you hung out with the target demographic lately?
