I have been looking at the various Avatars (really want to get Seamus, he looks great), I have the book coming to read up. But wanted to ask those that have used them, are they worth it? Pros? Cons? General opinions?

I have used Seamus' Avatar only once, but it was really good fun while it lasted

His fists ignore Armour so against Hoffman and his constructs, it really helped putting the Peacekeeper down! Causing Terrorifying to everything within 10" (including things normally immune to terror) can help eps as thats how he heals himself.

Cons - you do lose the Belle boost, and the very important Necrotic Ministrations. Nearly all of his buffs costs him WP so you have to be careful against WP heavy crews. I've said this on another thread, but Molly is very useful if your planning on Avatar Seamus as she can fill in the roles he can no longer do when hulking out.

Thanks for the info. Soundsl like what I was hoping for, good fun. I mean winning is nice and all but I play because I enjoy playing, win or lose. As far as I am concerned going down with style is as good as a win. So thanks again (note to self, when ordering A Seamus, order molly too).
On the Molly topic, just Molly, or go ahead and get her starter? The Rogue Necro looks nasty but I know nothing about Crooligans (at least til my book gets here Fri...).

Crooligans are Uh-Mazin! they are her objective grabbers and LOS blockers, due to there ability to generate a 3" fog around them, whats more, other crooligans can 'jump' into b2b contact with a crooligan which has cast the fog, meaning you get some excellent movement tricks to get round the board, particualrly when trying to deny objectives.

Rogue - well I've only had one game with it, it certainly is a target magnet, and hard to keep alive! I would need more games with it to decide whether its worth its cost.

Oh great Molly tip - she can summon Sybelle for Seamus! Just need 2 corpse counters, which is a very nice spell.
