Your problem is a mix of mech and infantry. You have a single big target (Land Raider) then a single Baal which will be racing ahead to burn stuff and then a Dreadnought lumping it behind, immobilise the Dreadnought and it is sorted. You are best going in a single direction; mech or infantry. If you go mech then Razorbacks or Rhinos are the best. If you're going infantry then a jumper list with Devastator support is pure awesome.

Agreed, there is no coherent theme to the list and units are not mutually supporting other units here. Fortunately, it doesn't seem like you have bought many of these models yet, so you still have a chance to nail down a core theme without having wasted $$$!

You have a good core DOA army in this list. I'd suggest either two libby's or just Mephiston. Two HQs the way you have them kitted out is really expensive for 1750 points. Reclusiarch is good on paper but I find the Libby brings more utility to the table. Just bringing two libby's gives you 210 more points to play with right off the bat- that's almost another 10 man RAS!!

I guess my problem with DOA is this. You deepstrike down, perhaps if close enough pop a transport or vehicle with meltas BUT you cannot assualt (unless you have vanguards doing Heroic Intervention). So you are not tied up into melee and the enemy not only gets free shots on your but gets the bonus attack on the charge. I really dont understand DOA that much because of those things. That and since everything isnt coming in at once nessicarily that can also be a problem with focus fire on what you DO have on the board. I might be able to go mech. One of the workers at the store was already going to let me borrow quite a few things from his space marine army for my lack of models BUT perhaps someone might be able to explain to me why DOA is so good with all these things I listed above. I think it would be easier to put together a jump army. I understand the whole things are going to get singled out but in my eye it seems like anything could get singled out. I really like the Furiosos with talons as I have recently gotton rid of DC from my lists so that means no DC dread with talons and fleet to get into the heat of things

The House that Peterbilt

Although DOA as a rule is related to deepstrike, most people use it as a synonymn for blood angel jump pack army when talking about lists. Don't assume you will need or want to DS the army if you go with a jumper army though. Most of the time that's foolish, there's just those instances where terrain, opponent and deployment options makes the enhanced DS abilities handy.

Its easy to say rework your list into a mech or jumper, harder to do with the time and money and models available. If you had to you could make a hybrid army into a viable list but you def need to change some things. No idea what you have at your disposal but to me the biggest standouts are the following

1) The dread. He's just dead weight in this list. No synergy, nothing he really works well or helps. Sure he'll have a game or two where he shines but I think long run he will disappoint with out a lot of other dreads or a SR to cart him in. I'd for sure drop him for more RAS or similar.

2) The chaplain. At 1750 its hard to justify 410 points in HQ. And your terminators hardly need the boost when you already rock mephy. I'd for sure drop him for more RAS or similar.

3) The baal. Not overly impressed by them outside of AR13 spam lists or the occasional scouting trickery. In this list and at that point level, its fluffy dead weight. I'd consider dropping it for more RAS or similar.

4) 1 MG in the RAS squads? That will just frustrate you. A jumper squad needs at least 2, especially with the limited anti-tank in your list so far.

Personally your best bet beyond a complete re-work would be to use those 435 extra points from the cuts above and beef up your troops, melta and long range anti-tank in anyway you can (adding melta into the RAS, adding RAS, getting 1-2 razorback RAS squads, adding some melta attack bikes or speeders, adding devestators, rifledreads, etc)

snoogums: "Just because something is not relavant doesn't mean it goes away completely."

Iorek: "Snoogums, you're right. Your arguments are irrelevant, and they sure as heck aren't going away."

The two cases of singled out that were singled out were landraiders and the Baal.
Landraider:Elder or Dark Elder will shoot all their lances at this thing as there is no better target to shoot at. Most armies will have capability to take it down and that being so they will aim the landraider destroyer at the landraider as there is nothing else better to target and it is worth tons of points. The points are not important but psychology is important.
Baal:It will scout ahead, as it will be the only thing in melta distance, and also the only thing visible for most of the enemies guns it will die

DoA lists are harder to play than is made out. You need to be tactical, gang up in fights, choose fights in your favour, use cover as much as possible. In particular you were worried about being outnumbered, whereas you can make sure that locally you outnumber the enemy when you land.

2 Troop choices are really really low for 1750 IMO.
